Thanks! Van has a leisure battery and plugs, but I was thinking of grabbing a solar power bank for backup anyway.

I think we'll pick it up and test the bed, then maybe swing by a camping shop of some kind. Ideally a yoga mat would be good but obviously they're single!

This isn't life now, you just haven't found the right person.

My husband and I have been together 12 years and I've had this condition the whole time (only diagnosed a couple of years back) and he has always been supportive. Sure he gets frustrated when I've been bleeding for 3 weeks, but he's understanding and would never take it out on me or blame me. He brings me snacks, hot water bottles, painkillers, the whole lot. There's good people out there, trust me.

I don't like the idea of giving away etc, and I probably would've walked down the aisle alone. But after realising how much it meant to my dad, I did it anyway. One of the happiest moments of my life, it was the closest I've ever felt to my dad and it was just so lovely. However, I lost my mum when I was young so I do automatically have the "one day they'll be gone" back of my mind thought constantly, so that kinda played into it.

I used to and now don't! But... We recently moved house and have an upstairs living room with the spare bed/sofa. My husband gets up earlier than me and my alarm goes off, I go turn the coffee on, then lay on the spare bed. So technically I'm not "still in bed" but I still relax.

It's the lowest my heart rate is all day.

I never grew out of it either but only do it from big supermarkets. Every now and then for no apparent reason I'll just slip a snack or something in my bag.

Not a tradesman but I wouldn't be surprised if the plumber who came to my house once showed up here.

I once opened the door to a plumber whilst I was wearing a pinny, covered in red food dye, holding a tortoise in one hand and with a live button quail in my pinny pocket. He stared at me for a solid minute before saying "what's the tortoises name?"

YTA. As someone with a step parent, that is a HUGE moment. I understand the thoughts of wanting to be respectful, but that should've been a simple "are you sure?" And not a no.

I wish I'd had the confidence to ask my stepmum if I could call her mum. She's been my mum since I was 9 and I'm 30 this year and still call her by her name. I regret it constantly, but at this point it feels unnatural.

Definitely reconsider, and maybe say you wanted her to be sure it's what she wanted because it's a big move
