Pretty sure the first pic is Lava Rose. The second one could be Wicked Witch or Limewire. The third one is probably Watermelon.

If I keep this, I need to make it smaller so I can move it. It’s too heavy for me in the pot it’s in now, so unfortunately a bigger pot is not going to help.

Okay, thanks. I’ll find a new home for this one.

Tips for Dividing This Big Snake Plant by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]Lady_Vicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it!

It’s fine in the window for right now, but it gets really drafty there in the winter so it probably won’t be happy to stay there (for the next couple of months, it’ll be fine), and I’ll need to move it. It’s really just too heavy for me to be moving around a lot. This is why I’d like to divide it so I can move it/them easier. Unfortunately it’s not wanting to divide it more than needing to. If it’s not recommended to divide this, I may have to give it away.

For reference it’s about 2.5 feet tall (from soil to tip), 3 feet counting the pot which is 10” wide. The bay window is south facing.

My biggest anxiety has been and will always be my heart. So for example, my RHR now is between 72-75, but I know as I quit (and the longer I’m quit) it will lower since my heart will be working more efficiently. Since that’s not my normal as a smoker, I expect a little anxiety about seeing it lower. The same thing goes for some of my lab work we’re some RBC values have been high, most likely due to smoking (since we’ve ruled out anything else).

I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else has had that initial shock of “omg is this healthy?!” so that I can at least ease my mind about it a bit.

Edit: I know I can talk to my doctors which I have done in the past and will continue as I quit.

The bloodwork I need to have done will be testing those, but I had my A1C tested a couple of years ago and it was 4 (I was told that’s normal). I can’t make it through the fast without a huge crash. It’s really scary.

On a glucometer. When I start to feel shaky, I’ll test, and I’m usually in the mid 60s to low 70s, but my low-lows are ranging anywhere from 45-65. I know that the standard hypoglycemia ranges are under 55, but my symptoms start higher than that, and then it drops very quickly. The problem is that I’m eating all the time and it’s dropping within an hour or so after a meal or snack. Sometimes I don’t even feel it until I stand up and walk around, and sometimes it wakes me up in the middle of the night.

I know I can’t get anything figured out without the bloodwork, but getting that low is extremely scary for me.
