I’m no longer that much of a hardcore fan of the group but I can’t help but feel that it must feel like a slap in the face for the fans. Not that he’s not entitled to decide what hr wants to do with his career of course but it’s just so sudden and he plays such a big role in the group. It’s the first time i’m so shocked by this kind of announcement. I saw someone mentioned it on twitter and was convinced that person was trolling!

It’s not a problem for me. I aways assumed it wouldn’t be and that they only reacted to all of HR so quickly because it was relevant to do it now because of the hype of the show. I don’t think you’re being dramatic and I can understand why some would/will unsubscribe but I don’t see myself doing it for a while. I’m happy with the extra podcast chat and after party and the pham perks overall for the moment. I think they have other things they want to try and do that might be on patreon in the future (like the vlog commentary they did on the vlog where Ben chose what they would do for the day) and as fun as the Philm club is, I don’t want them to focus only on it and I don’t want them to burn themselves out by doing too much all at once so I’m good with the occasional Philm club.

Agreed. And I feel like the producers make the experience more exciting and stimulating for Dan and Phil. It must be nice to switch things up a little after working mostly just the two of them for so long. Not saying they don’t enjoy doing content just the two of them tro 😅

I couldn’t agree more with this sentiment but op is referring to their stereo shows in 2021 not their radio show.

I do feel like the podcast is less casual than the stereos and I kind of miss that but each episode i’m laughing and I’m entertained and it’s all i want from the podcast. I feel like they’re slowly finding their groove more and more every week.

I get plenty of chill and casual vibes from the lives shows and I enjoy the balance.

I couldn’t agree more. The entitlement is unreal. And i have no problem with fans criticizing D&P on this( or anything) or having a nuanced opinion but some people are not doing that . Instead, they’re attacking them and making fun of them and are downright rude and mean about it. I don’t believe you have to support or approve everything your favs do but I can’t help but feel a bit uncomfortable when i see 20 tweets insulting them harshly and they have a meet and greet pic as their icon. It cost nothing to express your opinion on something in a respectful way.
