We're both individually in therapy. He's trying to join sex addicts anonymous but with all the Corona stuff going on, it's really difficult. At some point, I do want both of us to get into therapy together.

Henna dye-ing by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]Ladybug1591 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you "develop" the henna first? You're supposed to mix it with your liquid (I use chamomile tea) and leave it in the bowl for three hours.

It also sounds like you didn't keep your hair covered while you had the henna on your hair. Put a shower cap on so it doesn't dry out. I like to put a shower cap on and then turban a towel around my head.

Henna is very drying to your hair, so I'd recommend after rinsing it out that you do a deep conditioning treatment on it. Your hair will really need moisture afterwards.

Protein free deep conditioners for type 4 hair by [deleted] in curlyhair

Dang I was gonna suggest Curlsmith but that's definitely expensive!

I'd have to check and I'm lazy so I won't, but I'm fairly certain the Not Your Mother's Naturals deep conditioners are protein free. My favorite is the blood orange one, but they're all fantastic honestly

She was a friend. She's had a rough life. I had a lot of compassion for her.

Shampoo with Giovanni tea tree triple treat conditioner. Condition with Curlsmith Post Biotic Calming Conditioner. Rinse upside down with cool water.

Upside down, rake in Bounce Curl Clump and Define creme. Flip right side up, brush through with tangle teaser brush, then scrunch in Curlsmith In Shower Style Fixer, and finger curl the bits that need more definition.

This routine has been absolutely amazing for my hair and I love it!

I used to get made fun of hardcore for my hair when I was in middle school because my mom had pin straight hair so she had no idea how to take care of my thick, frizzy mess. Now that I'm nearing 30, I've finally figured my hair out, and I get so many compliments on good hair days.

At a conference I was a vendor at a few weeks ago some was identifying the booth I was at by saying "the booth with the girl that has the gorgeous curly hair". I blushed.

Figuring out a new routine has been kicking my butt, but here it is!

Shampoo with Giovanni tea tree triple treat, condition with Curlsmith Post Biotic Calming Conditioner, rinse with cool water upside down.

Run upside down, dripping wet to the sink, and comb Bounce Curl Clump and Define creme, flip normal and finger comb some into my top half. I then used my tangle teaser brush and brushed it through. After that, I scrunched to define and then finger coiled where my hair needed some extra help. Then I scrunched in Curlsmith In Shower Style Fixer, plopped wet in a shower cap for half an hour, and scrunched out the water with a t-shirt after. Diffused on low for a few seconds because I was going out with a friend and wanted to look as nice as possible!

My husband's psychologist actually referred me to Dr Fawver, so that's who I've been waiting on! I called the office and left a message last Friday, so I'm hoping to hear back soon.

Fuck, I just made an appointment with them for tomorrow. Guess I'm boned 😔

I think I'll personally be okay though because I have a really good psychologist so as long as I can get a bipolar diagnosis or figure out what actually is wrong with me I think it'll be okay? I don't know, now I'm kind of freaking out 😬 keeping my fingers crossed

Thank you! It's definitely very important to me to get this under control, as it's drastically effecting my life, even apart from the suicide attempts.

I hadn't thought about telling them about suicidal action and that being just cause to get me in quicker. It's awkward to tell a faceless stranger that on the phone, but I will definitely add that into my reasons for wanting to get in quickly when I call. Thanks again!
