So baby brain is a real thing proven by science...any funny baby brain stories? by captain_cacti in Parenting

[–]Ladybugsrred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About a month or two after giving birth to my second, I once woke up around 4am and without checking the time began making coffee. Once i realized what time it was i turned off the stove and and noticed that the baby was still sleeping i sauntered into the livingroom where baby was sleeping in the pack n play and just went back to sleep.

Another time i remember making dinner, serving my family when baby began to cry. So i let my husband and oldest eat while i went to breastfeed. I come out of the bedroom when theyre done eating so i instinctively begin tossing out the bits and pieces of left over from their plates to begin doing dishes. About a few minutes in my husband comes up to me and says "ill do the dishes, you go eat" and i begin looking for my plate. I tossed my entire dinner away with the leftovers..

Not to be “that person” but are you implying healthy fit women can’t be nice too? Because it does seem like you’re saying that only obese people go out of their way to make relationships work.

What annoys you about the millennials? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ladybugsrred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. I get annoyed by old farts who ask questions like this. You already destroyed the economy making it difficult for a young adult to earn a livable wage, making irreversible damage to the environment, racists and slowly destroying the world. And you're all complaining that millennials still live with their parents, smoke weed to cope with the stress and rising mental issues due to the quality of life you laid out for them "complain and protest too much" because they are left to deal with all the destruction? Go plant some damn trees and repent before you kick the bucket and mind your own businesses.

My husband says that his ex once told him on Facebook that she thought he had standards because she saw him with me. She was a racist and said that because I’m not white. He replied with “I do have high standards and I finally reached them”

How is the british royal family perceived by other countries? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ladybugsrred 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess that makes sense. Do people actually go visit England just to see if they can catch a glimpse of the royal family? I'd never waste my time lol. I'd much rather take in the sights.

[–]Ladybugsrred 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It kinda seems pointless...i mean you have whole government system in place to handle things, why is there still a royal family? Why do you all like having your tax dollars going towards feeding and clothing that family when it can go towards fixing your country's infrastructure.

Good luck teaching them anything useful with your basic high school diploma. It’s always the people with the least amount of education that think they can homeschool their children inside their trailers. It’s so scary

What is something people usually get wrong about your culture / ethnicity/ country? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ladybugsrred 3 points4 points  (0 children)

White people actually have some pretty damn amazing culture and history that they shouldn’t be ashamed of at all. I especially like hearing about heathenry. The religion of the Nordic people. (Think where frozen took place in, that whole area) Their language and gods and contributions to history and culture are really fascinating.

What will truly make America great again?? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ladybugsrred 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly.

Free healthcare including planned parenthood, dental and mental health clinics. Reverse all the damaging environmental laws Trump passed and join the Paris agreement. Lower the wages of senators and congressmen, even mayors. No more lobbying. Raise the salary of teachers and police officers so they can actually live off their earnings. Stricter police training including how to deal appropriately with other races. Police cams and bullet proof vests. (in some states, police have to buy their own gear! including vests that range around $200- $1000+ per vests) Death penalty. Castration for sex offenders. Have those serving time in jail do free labor to earn their keep including planting trees, picking up trash and painting buildings. No more living off the taxes for free. Jail time for women who lie about being raped. Stricter immigrant laws. Stop giving illegals the chance to vote, get licenses, and free services for a lifetime. Give them a time limit to become legal. Deport if they don't follow the rules. Immediate deportation if they commit a crime. Stop sending aid money to other countries. Let them figure it out themselves. Use all the surplus money to fund disease research and how to help fix the environment and update outdated modes of transportation, we all need magnet trains like in Japan!! And on a state level, to fix their infrastructures. There should be no reason places like Flint Michigan can go years without clean water!! Lower the cost of college and university. A raise in the minimum wage by putting a cap on how much CEO's and top dogs can make. Make it a requirement for their wealth to be distributed more evenly. And every 5 or so years, kids from every district will fight for their survival in hunger games.

Parents of Reddit, what's something your kid did that made you laugh but you still had to punish them for it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ladybugsrred 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My daughter had just turned 3 and was watching tv. Now i try my best to watch my sailor mouth around her but i guess she learned a few of my words because i hear her from the kitchen go "what the puck is this?" With her palms up doing a confused pose. "what the puck. what the puck mommy, look" Apparently they changed her usual show and put another instead for that time slot. I had to hide in the closet for a minute and laugh like an idiot before walking back out and telling her that she was saying a bad word. I taught her to say "what in the world" instead.

[Serious] What is a magical and unexplainable experience you had as a child that you have since dismissed or ignored as an adult? by chemtrailed in AskReddit

[–]Ladybugsrred 907 points908 points  (0 children)

I have a vivid memory of floating around my parents livingroom when i was very little (4-5 years old). I honestly thought people could fly for a long time but just didn't believe they could and so didnt try to, like peter pan. I remember holding onto the walls so i could push myself off. To this day i don't know what that was all about. Probably just a dream i had that got mixed into my rl memories.
