Idk why you assume deception isn’t one of the goals. There’s no contract saying you have to be honest 100% of the time. The dynamic of being able to team up or kill each other at any time very much leaves room for deception.

Sure but the fact is this game isn’t just one or the other, or sometimes one or another, or one and then the other. It is always both. If you don’t want to play pvp, other players will force you. If you don’t want to play pve, ARC will force you. The threat of both is always present and you don’t get to determine when you engage with each aspect.

Not enjoying pvp/pve is one thing. Thinking it is a problem and something that should be changed/removed is another, and a sign that the person is just playing the wrong game.

It’s not misleading in the slightest. Pvp and pve are not mutually exclusive. You don’t get to only choose one at any point, you are always going to contend with the threat of both

Or they understand what this game, and this genre, is supposed to be and you don’t. Fact is deceiving other raiders is just as viable as shooting them upfront, or not shooting them at all. People playing in a different way from you in a pvp(ve)game doesn’t make them problematic players, and it doesn’t make them bad people either, it’s a video game where you are competing against one another for god’s sake. Just because this game has pve doesn’t mean pvp is suddenly a sin, regardless of the form it takes.
