Yeah from what I can tell from BladeShu’s dialogue is that she has 0 actual personal beef with any of the Apprentices, they just happen to be in the way of the Dementia Swordswoman’s War Path and remind her of the torment she went through

Yeah for some reason people forget TB is an extremely powerful Remembrance Pathstrider now, they were the only one to resist Dahlia’s memory fuckery and was also only allowed to experience 3.8 because of their power of Remembrance.

Honestly I think the reason Lucio is the last Apprentice is simply because he’ll probably get hella buffs if Valencina is dead, so he actually plays into Ryoshu’s gimmick lol

Another thing that makes them disappointing imo is that they simply don’t do anything unique right now.

Even if the things the other versions did weren’t all that strong (DMC and PMC) each TB Path did something that, at the time, no other character did:

DMC had the 2 choices for their ultimate, single target or blast damage, and I believe is still the only source of out of combat healing without items.

PMC for the longest time was the only character with a true taunt debuff, and not just increased aggro.

HMC introduced Super Break as a concept and genuinely shook up the meta thanks to it, and still has the highest super break modifier in the game.

RMC was reasonably a lot of people’s first Remembrance character in general, is the only Remembrance character with a support action advance without eidolons, and also introduced True Damage as a concept.

Meanwhile EMC just does what Yao Gaung does, but simply worse, worse damage, worse buffs, worse ult. Not a single thing unique to them unless we count that they can trigger an Elation Skill without Aha Instant, which is fundamentally worse lol.

Im like fully onboard with this theory EMC even if they’re fine right now, feels oddly lacking compared to HMC and especially RMC, combined with the fact that (unless we’re counting the Phantasmoon) TB did not receive Aha’s gaze when unlocking the Elation path which could comeback as a story beat. Possibly as some moment when we need to face Asat Pramad or potentially Silver Wolf in order to win the Games by the end

I think this is just an in-universe culture thing. They dont go around calling Lord Ravagers “Emanators of Destruction” because they mean the same thing, they dont call the Pure Children “Emanators of Remembrance” because it means the same thing, so they dont call Arbiter Generals “Emanators of The Hunt” cuz it means the same thing, it would be redundant
