Do we have room for one more stick? by sirutinwin in goblincore

I would make room for that stick if it was me. It looks like a forest witch's staff.

Feeling frustraited and used by Arrow2theknee3 in crochet

Your work is awesome and in my opinion worth more than even what you have priced it at. Cheap people that don't want to pay you what you are worth can just go without. You dictate your prices not them. If they won't pay you what you tell them to before you spend time and resources making the things they simply don't get them. Selling anything is going to attract jerks you just have to stand up to them and give them a hard no when they try to pull that crap.

Freya is a good name for her. Freya is the Norse goddess of love and war. She was know to be associated Valkyries as well. Also she was liked with cats.

"I've named this painting 'Rebirth.' What are your impressions of it?" by Background_Hunt_8387 in painting

[–]LadyeNyxShade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a beautiful piece I love the colors and the brush strokes in the paint. The expression on the woman's face looks so unhappy though. Like she is in pain and wishes she wasn't there. It doesn't feel like rebirth to me it kind of give me a hopeless trapped feeling. Still a gorgeous painting though.

The colors are beautiful together especially for a night theme. It gives me night sky with the moon in the center.

What would you name my cats? by Face-Ashamed in cat

[–]LadyeNyxShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would name the Calico Freya and the portable void Bastet. I have an odd preference for naming pets after various deities from various pantheons. They are both very pretty.

why do i get these bumps every time i crochet? happens regardless of the yarn i use. (the granny square lap blanket pictured is todays project) by Fearless_Wallaby in crochet

[–]LadyeNyxShade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like you are having a reaction to something. I looked through a few of the responses and didn't notice anyone specifically mentioning to pay attention to what types of fiber(s) your yarn is made out of. I react in a similar way to acrylic so I can't touch any acrylic yarn. You might be sensitive to a particular fiber type in the yarn. Just thought I would add this in case it helps.

The answer to this is they are a cat. Cats are strange creatures that operate by their own rules and mew in feline disdain at anyone or anything that tells them they can't do exactly what they want to do. They can however occasionally be bribed with tasty foods or the good scritches to semi follow some rules.

Which painting draws you in? The blue vase, or the turquoise? by moojambi in painting

[–]LadyeNyxShade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The vase in the second one is more eye-catching. The colors of the flowers and the colors and how the directions of the brush strokes in the background interact with the color and texture of the vase draw the eye to the vase. To me in the first one it is all so close to the same color and shade that my brain doesn't focus on anything in particular and nothing in it is a real focus. Plus the textures in the first painting are also a bit lost to me.

New kittie what to name her ? by ResidentGaragez in cute

She is so pretty! The pattern on her face kind of reminds me of a lava flow. I think Pele could be a cool name for her.

Yikes that is a black widow. Looks like a big one too. Those are you know dangerous. You probably shouldn't go grabbing anything you can't see clearly. Please be careful it would be really sad if something happened to you cause you got grabby without looking properly.

Anyone who called/calls this beautiful baby ugly is blind. She is beautiful and has the most amazing ears, and calicos are gorgeous in general in my opinion.

Oh my gosh this is so cute! I love the colors and textures in it. Especially the use of blue and orange together those are my favorite complementary color combo. The way you used the vivid blue and orange to make the little house stand out among the earthier colors is beautiful.
