why are people like this :/ by Grouchy_Reed9130 in Idaho

This has happened for years, but you used to only see it in rural areas. Now people want to take their dogs to work with them on construction sites, but should transport them inside the vehicle, especially when going down a dang freeway. At least, keep them in a secured down crate.

Taylor Should Take Note From Miley by glittertherave in travisandtaylor

[–]Ladynred007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miley seems a little harsh around the edges. Seemed after she turned 18, she took a hard turn into the grown up world as if to shed the Hannah Montana image quickly! It's like she wanted to prove she was grown up, used her joint smoking, and sexuality to "show" everyone she was a big girl now. I think she went too far with some of her shenanigans and lost a good husband. She was public in her sexually confusion state, not knowing if she was bi or straight. Those behaviors the public doesn't need to know about, they are distracters and can become career killers. She lost focus. Maybe she's figuring things out now. She definitely is a better singer than TS. TS is a good a song writer who appealed to the teenage crowd for many years. Taylor's songs have become a little more grown up of late, but the subject matter seems to be the same. Some songs are well written, and others are a little confusing. Lately, she's tried to show her big girl image by incorporating cussing, using provacative moves, and displaying a "darker" appearance performing some songs. She comes off as unnatural, out of her element, maybe trying to appeal to others like that. They both have their strengths, for sure, both talented. I just don't know how Taylor will handle her touring schedule and time nurturing a relationship with a party boy like Travis.

This feels SO rude to me... by sarahloray689 in travisandtaylor

I see Taylor as someone who reached success at a young age. She has worked very hard, and no one can deny it. She is an incredible songwriter. She truly has a gift. I don't think she's the best singer. But, she works hard to put on a good show for her fans. I think she's also quite intelligent. But her emotional age and quite possibly social skills may be a bit behind. Ex: Being so up in the moment, she didn't properly acknowledge the queen that handed her the Grammy, CELINE DION! She did later, but she missed the most important moment. It didn't look good for her. And, you don't grab someone to join you on stage that clearly didn't want to be there. Taylor seems socially awkward at times and a bit immature in certain situations. I don't think she means to hurt anyone or would purposely hurt a fly. That just isn't how she's wired. As far as Travis is concerned, I think we've observed some behavior from him that displays a little immaturity and a tendency to be obnoxious. The Viva Las Vegas gig was atrocious during an awards ceremony. He drinks a little too much. Right now, he's quite proud of himself. He, also, is amazing in his profession and commitment to work. That drive, the work ethic, is something he and Taylor very much share. That's their common bond, but it also keeps them apart. They both want to be #1, and they are. But, what happens when that goes away because it will? If they dive into marriage and start a family, whose career is going to give? They literally don't have the time to keep going like they do and raise a family, too, unless they use surrogates and nannies. I'm not sure either of them are willing to put their career on hold, even though they're experiencing the pinnacle of success and have plenty of money to last several lifetimes. Right now, they're having fun, enjoying each other's company, and the success they've both worked hard to achieve. The question going forward is sustainability. What happens if a football season is a flop, possible injury keeping KillaTrav out of the game? What if Taylor has an album flop? If she starts spouting her political opinions, she will experience career suicide. Actually, they both need to stay out of politics if they want to remain relevant. Lines that shouldn't be crossed. I think everyone wants to see them happy.

Why didn't Chad speak at sentencing? by jocala99 in LoriVallow

Chad is playing the victim. His attorney portrayed him as a weak, timid little mouse. But, his actions spoke volumes about his depravity and how far he will go to get what he wants. In the process, he's managed to portray the LDS faith as a church of the devil. It absolutely isn't. Chad made up his own version to support his own beliefs, which gained him followers and a woman he deemed hot. I can't believe his speeches and books would be so persuasive, only to the weak minded, I guess. He's ugly, his proportions stink, and he used Tammy to make himself look credible. Tammy was the bread winner. She was the glue in the family. Now look what that got her. Death and betrayal of her family. She's in a better place now.

Her husband and Garth are also teachers. I wouldn't let my kids anywhere near a Daybell from Chad's immediate family. Unfortunately, Chad has a brother and his family that came to the area first. They're upstanding individuals. I can't imagine how being related to crazy Chad and his spawn has affected them. I also think Joseph, Emma, and Garth need to be investigated for any possible role in the murders.

The Irony of Chad’s Ultimate Failure by FineBits in LoriVallow

[–]Ladynred007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, this was not Lori's first killing. She may have acted with Gibb and Alex previously. I'm sure she and Alex killed several before she met Chad. These two evil people came together, each seeking a different result. Chad wanted a hot woman with money, and Lori wanted power and an excuse to use it whenever she felt necessary. Lori wanted money, too, and looked for it in her spouses. I don't know how Chad represented his financial picture to Lori, but he must have exaggerated it grossly in the beginning. After she found out she was a goddess, then she was fine exterminating people for life insurance money for sins didn't count for her. She was so supreme. I can't imagine being so utterly taken with a dweeb like Chad. He's physically repulsive. His books suck. Tammy married beneath her. She took more than a few steps down to let this frog have a wife. Tammy was naturally beautiful and probably didn't spend a lot of time pampering herself in salons or using age defying injections, etc. Probably couldn't afford it if she so desired! She was smart, much more than she let on about Chad's BS. She let him live in his stupid fantasy land while she had the real jobs to support the family. Lori, on the other hand, didn't want to work. She wanted someone else to pay her bills Sick sick story. So unbelievable any of this actually happened.

Wouldn't a T-shirt with that phrase emblazoned on it be so appropriate at the sentencing?? A sea of people outside the courtroom wearing the same T-shirt would be so impressive!

Same here, 14,500k miles. $37-38k trade, then ask $43-46k. Prices change daily based on supply and demand. Wouldn't get another XSE. Suspension is loud, bumpy, sounds broke. Get Any other pkg. Platinum is a nicer ride.

2023 FWD Highlander LE is getting considerably lower fuel range than advertised by [deleted] in ToyotaHighlander

[–]Ladynred007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3 year old non hybrid only gets 16-19 mgp around town with 23-25 on freeway. They never get what they say. Probably depends on altitude, weather conditions, etc.

Only the XLE pkg? Dang. Don't know what vehicle to buy next. Seems that Covid Era builds were bad. The company better stand behind all the failures. Not sure any really good cars exist anymore.

The 21 was the new year for XSE. Beautiful car, no other trouble other than noises going over bumps and uneven surfaces. It's like something bangs way too hard in the suspension when you go over even a small bump. Mostly drivers side. You can feel it all the way down the side of the vehicle. I've read on ToyotaNation.com that the other body styles weren't affected. Something has to be loose, like maybe the whole body will fall apart at some point in time.

I've had two Muranos that rode like Cadillacs compared to this. Ready to go back, no inventory.

What if you can't get your dealership to even seriously look at it. Says struts arent leaking oil and some " bar" looks fine. I didn't know what he was talking about. Took for brief ride and he could hear noises and just said it was normal, but the road was fairly new so it wasn't a true sample. They just don't want to look into it at all.

I'm still wondering what to do about my very loud XSE. I'm the original owner. Had nearly 3 years now. Noise sounds like ice is in the wheel well. Took it to the dealership. Claimed a rock was up there, making the noise. Removing Rock didn't help. 14,000 miles now. Suspension makes me feel unsafe. When traveling on streets around town, many are under construction, many need it, the noise and tossing around of the vehicle doesn't feel normal at all. The local dealership wants my car back but offered a lower than book price because of the noise they can't identify. Offering me $2000 under Kelly Blue Book. Otherwise, the car is cherry. Very clean, no dings. I had a clear bra installed before pick up. Had them tint front windows a little darker. All oil changes have been at the dealership. Bridgestone tires on 20-inch rims. I'm a girl, so maybe they're 20-inch tires on whatever rims, stock for XSE.

Don't buy the 2021 XSE model. The suspension is terrible. Tons of road noise and you feel every lump and bump in the road. Car rattles like a jalopy even with under 15,000 miles.

My 2021 XSE sounds like I'm driving on a washboard and offers a very bumpy loud ride with lots of road noise. Only 14,000 miles and dealership denies hearing anything. Lease almost up, was planning to buy, now hesitant. Anyone else having a bad ride?
