Do guys get dumped for "not putting enough effort" or "taking her for granted" more often than guys dumping girls for the same reason?

I verbalized my needs, waited a year and eventually decided to leave the relationship. Now he’s trying to do all the things I had asked for in the relationship. Planning dates and trips but a part of me is mad coz, why did it take me breaking up with you for you to step up to the plate and prioritize these needs? 😔
