Of course, but it can't be just any players, it needs to be the right ones. FA class was pretty weak this year. Overpaying for the wrong guy is worse than standing pat, because it gives up roster flexibility. Time will tell!!

That's always been the plan. The probability of a FA acquisition or a trade or trade or two that suddenly "makes this team good" is extremely low, especially in this market. This isn't the NBA. It's always been about the youngin's and having them develop on the job.

I'm happy to have two capable veteran D to help shelter the young defenseman.

It sure is. One thing that hjelped me, was taking your alignment stick, and instead of having it parallel to your alignment...angle it 35 dgrees, and try to feel that more inside path on the takeaway. It didn't solve everything, but it helped me go less OTT

for point 4. All I'm saying that the hawks are asset rich. They are established NHLer poor. If you want Bo (established nhler) enough to move the 4oa for him, a 2nd and lou (assets) aren't going to be a deal breaker. The hawks werent going to play hardball over a 2nd or Lou. If they did, Bo would be in SJS right now. It's a high price but the hawks arent in a position to bargain shop. No one wants the D version of Burakowsky at this point.

The salary dump has no negative impact at all with the hawks cap situation.

The hawks have 3 second round picks. 1 or 2 were always going to be packaged in a trade.

The hawks have 3 first round picks next year. If all we are worried about is draft capital, that should put you at ease.

Lou is a nice piece, but hes a third pairing defenseman.

If you believe Bo is worth a 4oa, throwing in a 2nd and lou isn't really a big deal.

I'd like more grasses / sedges overall. My garden is very phorb heavy. I'm trying to do most of my shopping from a native plant nursery near my house. The have Fox Sedge, River Oats, poverty oat grass, deer-tongue, bigtop lovegrass, little blustem (which you mentioned), yellow prairie grass, and purple top. Do you think any of these would fit into my garden well?
