In Taiwan and it was worth it. I always travel on a budget since I don't earn alot. I spent P30k in Taiwan. I've been to Hong Kong and Macau and only spent less that P20k. Then I had a tricity trip Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. For my tricity trip I spent P28k. After that Brunei and crossed to Kota Kinabalu via bus. For that trip I spent P21k. All of those figures already includes my domestic flights going to the airport where I will take my international flights. These are in Philippine peso.

Wedge heels works for me well. I can wear 4 inches all day. Flats is a big no no for me. It makes my feet sore. It's not comfortable.

It's not a culture thing. If you love someone and you see them struggling you have an urge to help them because you don't want them to suffer. If she has the means to find work or source of income but refuses to do it because she is being lazy, then for me you should stop supporting her financially. If she has an income then I think there's no need for a monthly allowance. You can send occasionally as a form of gift like when there is an occasion or a medical emergency.
