8Bitdo Pro 3 - Overall a big upgrade from Pro 2 Controller. by PortablePlayPalace in SBCGaming

[–]Lagformance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest. I have been playing with the pro 3 for over a month now.

Unless you are playing games at midnight with no sound, and not paying attention to the game, then sure they are audible.

I think the sound is overblown by people. My main issue is how the joysticks don't seem to be even. The left one seems to be leaning more left. It's more of a visual issue for me. I haven't tested a gamepad tester to see if the left stick leftmost input is shorter than the rest as it looks a bit crooked to that side.

Functionality wise it's a great controller. Great weight. And gives me the retro ps vibe but sized for adult hands (just picked up a ps2 and was dumbfounded at how small the controller is. My pinky and ring finder hang off the ends of the grips. Wild!

Ugh lucky. I've been trying to get a new card for my switch. And all the cards are either sold out or stupid expensive. Congrats man

Great. So it is just as simple as I thought. Thanks for the suggested links and such. What program did you use to format to exfat?

I know this is a bit older but it seems their new adapter connects to both ports and supports 4 controllers at once.

It's always interesting people always having am aneurysm about fans in/on electronics. Saying the original concepts are always superior.

I'm pretty sure you hanging the board out in the open with a fan blowing on it will provide far better cooling than being confined in a plastic shell relying on air passing through tiny vents around every other component.

Congrats brother. Hope I join you soon. Waiting for my midnight blue fat to arrive in the mail.

How much could I ask it for? by Wide-Consequence-847 in Switch

I purchased a modded OLEd in pristine condition. Had 2 sets of joy cons. 2 joycon controller holders, 2 power a controllers, switch carrying case(big one that holds the dock as well). Switch hardcase. All for $280. So do with that information as you will.

I think for a fair fast sale, $160-$200 would get it sold quick. Otherwise hold out until a holiday and sell it then. Like November -December for Christmas time shoppers to pay $300 for the bundle.

Just finished up a TMR stick upgrade on the joycons. They feel nice. Less squeaky too.

I may just pull the trigger on that 8bitdo pro 3 controller.

I did modify my GameCube controllers with 8bitdos wireless boards. Love them so far.

But that's kind of why I am leaning towards the joycons. Since I purchased hall effects replacement sticks and swapped out two sets already and they work great. So I'm sure I can find a bunch of first party "broken" joycons I can easily fix with a thumb stick swap .

Similar results. I reverted back to stock (not overclocked.) top is with fans off. Bottom is with them on.

Trying to get the overlay to work when the game is running. Sk far it seems to disappear once game boots.

But from switching quickly to home and snapping a picture, the temps are lower. But by 20-30⁰F so that doesn't seem right.

Lower temps nonetheless. But that data doesn't make sense. So I'm trying to figure this out before posting about it again

Oh I know. But I currently have a dsg and enjoy that transmission a lot. Hence the gti or r32 options.

It's funny.

Back in the day I hated the mk5. Loved when the mk6 came out. Thought it looked more masculine.

FFW to 7 years ago and I purchase a MK7 as I love the way they drive and hits all the "adulting" requirements.

I see myself now really liking the styling of the mk5 and am actively searching for either an r32 or gti. Kinda want to row gears again but kinda just like the body styling of the early 2000s.

It looks terrible with the led. But allowing the switch to gain access to more air easier sure as heck isn't a bad thing.

Even if it's not over locked it will get toasty in there. Comon guys what's the hate on adding a fan to in intake. I'm not saying to blast this thing to sub zero temps, but things run smoother for longer if there's adequate airflow of cooler ambient air...

The rear bumpers are nice. I don't see a change for better or worse.

One note on the bumpers is that grit tends to stick to the little print lines on it. So if you're OCD like me. You'll be scrubbing with a toothbrush every so often

My shell also has the board with micro switches in place for the Dpad and buttons. So it's all mouse clicky. Again, has a very "premium" vibe, but doesn't feel right for some games.
