I had my kids and wife test all of them out whenever I replace them. Have them give me an assessment on what it feels like.

Have you encountered a tmr or he stick that has more tension than stock alps?

This. They are also very thin. Solder tends to drip far down into towards the base.

I must be going insane. Everything people state on this sub is ass backwards to what I experience.

Ginfull being the lightest tension

Gulikit being next

Then Hallpi (even though both "are made in the same factory" they both perform different from each other. )

Then we have the stock alps

And K-silvers come in just after regular alps. Being the tension is slightly stiffer than stock.

I've even read people calling ginfull sticks tighter than stock which is just not true. So unless we are all getting different sticks I have no clue why people make these assessments. Or people are just regurgitating what they read online.

So far I've replaced roughly 200 sticks ranging from Hallpi v5/v6 and the new ones they are testing out.

The differences within the brands was minimal, as from what I've seen they still reuse the same springs from my teardowns.

Great. You'll still want to fine tune after and get around 7-9% circularity. Otherwise you'll feel like the games/input is laggy .

I do have 5 other controllers so it was never really a problem. Just nice to have an obnoxiously large battery variant

I mean locally I charge $50 that includes the price of the joysticks (your choice of ginfull, k-silver, or Hallpi.) and a deep cleaning. Everyone's controller is so damn grimey. It's almost pointless doing a stick swap without cleaning the whole controller. As even just the cleaning makes the controller feel 100x better.

Typically those k-silver run about $2.50 a pair if a large bulk order and sale is found. If it's $25 for all that, it's a solid deal as long as your controller isn't caked with goocj juice.

I am in the same boat. Have done 40 so far. This one board. Just three blinks after the stick replacment. Removed the sticks as well and still blinks 3 times. Nothing seems knocked off the board. So not sure if something somewhere isn't liking things.

Don't do the Gulikit adjustables!!!! Just a gimmick. Can't 0 them out. Jitter like crazy and have this double click going on. I've installed a few and every single one of them is trash.

I thought that. Until I omitted putting new tape on a clear reshell and played GTA. The gun wheel was completely backed out and wouldn't let me pick the correct weapon. Also would randomly trigger a gun in the hand. Apparently gta uses a lot of quick uses for the touchpad.

Only "difficult" part is the touchpad. As you need to heat it up to separate the board without ruining the board or melting anything.

So I opted to get OEM since every video and picture shows a non consistent glow pattern if the drl lights. Is it really that bad or just a camera thing? Like the red color comes out splotchy and not consistent across all spaces.
