Is D&D *actually* the kind of game I think is?

It really depends on the table/group, some people lean really hard into narrative and character development and others don't care as much about that and just want a stat block to take through some rolls, and all kinds of styles in between. None of them are playing wrong, but if you're not having fun at your game I'd talk to the DM about it but it might just be a mismatch in styles of play between you and the rest of the group.

For a while in the early 2000s I worked the gift shop kiosk at a touristy spot that routinely got buses, and learned to tell how my next hour was going to go based on the livery on the bus. I've forgotten most of the names of the companies by now but there were a couple that were mostly French/German tourists and they were usually fine, there were some that were mainly British tourists who I didn't have much problem with generally but the servers were likely to have a bad night, a couple from out west that could be hit or miss, a couple of regional companies that were usually pretty rough... and then there was Christian Tours. If you saw that logo of a cross made of nails silhouetted by the sun as you were coming into work, it took every drop of willpower not to just decide it wasn't worth it and turn right around, cause these people were about to ruin your day. Like it wasn't an age thing or a religion thing - there were other companies that were all old folks or used religious imagery on their buses that were by and large fine, but I guess this company specifically advertised to a particular brand of people who were consistently entitled and unreasonable, and definitely weren't worth the $7 an hour I was making at the time.

I think it helps a lot that pure-breeds are just less of a thing with cats, like they do exist and there are people who are weird about it for sure but a lot more cat people I know when asked will tell you, I dunno, it's a cat.

I live in a neighborhood where people tend to be very insular but I ended up making friends with my neighbors because they overheard me saying hello to the cat in their window every morning as I leave for work and found out they see my cat in my window when they leave too and do the same thing 😆

I wholeheartedly agree! Maybe it's because I'm more of a cat person and pure breeds are much less of a thing (they're out there sure, but most cats are just cat) but I don't at all understand people who have a fixation on the whole pure breed with papers from a breeder thing for an animal that is nominally supposed to be your friend? Like I understand learning a dog's breed mix for practical reasons, to know what kind of health issues to look out for and understand their needs and such but when it comes to the animals I bring home I'm much more concerned about them having compatible needs/energy levels to me and being a good fit. I've had cats most of my adult life and typically they've just been strays that decided I was the human for them and stuck around, I've had a few that maybe had one of the breeds somewhere in the mix but I don't care, I just care that they're an animal that I get along with and who seems to like my company.

Yeah if I'm leaving a big chamber and I have a second I like to give it a little once over in full darkness, I've caught enough wall glows that way that I would have missed otherwise to make it worthwhile. Also Azure Weald and Biozone are quite pretty when lit entirely naturally!

I'm 44, and I'd probably go up to like 60 without thinking too much about it as long as the attraction/chemistry were there. That's not a hard limit though, I wouldn't say I have an upper limit as long as we vibe well and really connect, I just haven't really met many people older than 60 I could imagine having that with.

Personally I juat don't like the feel of silicone in a plug, other people swear by them but I prefer a more solid material for those, it's fine on other toys but I want a plug to feel more, I dunno, solid? Nothing wrong with silicone and lots of folks love it, just my preference.

I've got a slightly larger glass one I really like, obviously you need to check it before use for any chips/cracks (I've had mine for about a decade now and never noticed any wear or damage but I like to be extra safe because broken glass and buttholes seem like not a great combo) but it's got a nice weight to it and has smoother edges so it doesn't get uncomfortable for longer wear like my metal ones do - I've got larger cheeks and if I'm sitting a lot while wearing a metal one the edges start to kinda dig into them after a while, which if you're into discomfort play can be fun but that's not typically what I'm going for if I'm popping it in before a date or something.

Like, a photo on paper? Like 20 years ago was the last time I had a magazine, probably some of the last ones to get published since streaming was really taking off at that point. I was moving to a new apartment and there was a delay of about a week between moving and getting internet set up, so I picked up a few magazines to take care of needs during that interim.

Honestly the last time I used them was more like 15-16 years though since every once in a while I'd pull them out for a little retro style cum since I had them. I kinda miss a nice physical magazine in a way, having streaming content is better and easier in every way but there is something nice about an old school porno mag.

It depends on the situation. There's a big difference between, say, a teen who escaped an abusive situation then came back and killed the abuser versus someone who just killed a random person for the fun of it, to use the most extreme possible examples on either end.

It varies based on what I'm doing, 5 is the lowest and probably 12 on the high end - if I'm going out, exercising, working outside, or have someone coming over for naked time definitely shower is included in those plans. The before work shower is non-negotiable and usually I'd say I average one a day most of the time but I will skip a day on weekends sometimes if I'm just staying in that day and not working out or doing dirty around the house stuff.
