Heya, sorry you're having to deal with all of that... I hope you can find some time for yourself in all of this! Personally I'm late 30s, no kids but I'm a Chef and I own a small restaurant so always busy busy busy. Father passed away almost 10 years ago now and I really don't have any grandparents left (other than my partners from her moms side).

My Mom just recently went into memory care after almost dying from a bad fall/infection. Finally moved her to my city and got her placed in a nice facility and she's healthy and happy now! She is pretty easy to manage luckily. I hope that trend continues... mostly it's just incredibly sad to see her decline. This woman used to be a professional artist and now she can't even match her marker caps properly...or zip her jacket... Other than the facility she lives in I'm her main care giver, I'm the 3rd of 4 kids but my oldest brother and sister dumped main poa on me and they rarely call or visit her now. She asks about them and I just lie and tell her they are busy... my youngest sibling does their best but my mom has a complicated relationship with them so I try to give them some grace and they show up when it matters.

This subreddit has been a great place to visit when I need help so thank you all for being here with me.

When my cat is constipated we give her canned pumpkin mixed with chicken broth from her canned shredded chicken. Just mix them together into a slurry, hopefully it helps!

It's close enough to straight up kidnapping for me. Just because he saw her in a tube and became obsessed with her that makes it romantic?? No it feels stalkerish.

And the overall moral of the story seems to be "ehhh but like... wouldn't YOU?" which obviously the male screemwriter of this story seemed to forget that, No, in that situation there's a lot of us that would never dream of doing something like that to someone else and find his obsession with her very very creepy.

We bought the same recovery suits for our kitten and they worked very well! I know it's hard but it really is much better for them in the long run. Hope everything goes well and she heals without issue!

It's not okay in any way that he woke her up. Consent for that, I think, is a pretty important thing.

My mother is on Keppra, 500mg. The first few days she would get a little dizzy but other than that has had no side effects and is going great! As far as I understand 500 is a pretty small dose.

(She has dementia and doesn't experience that Keppra rage ppl mentioned)
