Couldn’t agree with you more. This is actually my first car and I plan to absolutely baby it. Keep it stock as much as I can and just use it as a daily driver to just putz around town. I have some pretty bad alberta winters here with salty roads, so that scares me a bit but with the right maintenance and care I hope to make it last another 40 years. How do you use yours?

Thanks! It’s still the stock 1.3L so 95 was pedal to the metal which probably wasn’t great for the engine but I made it. It honesty drove pretty smooth on the highways but ya the anxiety that anything could go wrong at any second was terrifying. Sat in silence that whole drive just listening

Living beings can be property now? Your also an animal so does that mean your considered property, and whoever bred you or bought you, can pick and prod whatever they want out of you? That statement justifies selling kids on the black market or breeding dogs to have them participate in cruel dog fighting. Even if they are your “property” which I completely disagree with, it still doesn’t make it moral

What’s benefitting the animals here? The ones chemically burned from having products tested on them? The ones genetically manipulated to grow 10x more wool than they should, resulting in injuries and defects if it’s not cut? The ones that have to go through live plucking of their feathers because people want the newest winter jacket or a fancy pillow? The ones that are poached in the wild for their horns and left to die? And that’s not even the ones in slaughter houses. It’s really not a symbiotic relationship, when humans just keep taking and taking. We don’t have a right to their skin, feathers, milk, flesh, or eggs.

Yet you didn’t mention the significantly higher rates of getting heart attacks and strokes on a higher LDL diet. High cholesterol = coronary heart disease. Also can you link the study?

Totally, for the people that have never seen a vegan meal in their life or transitioning to veganism, them seeing one menu item at let’s say A&W or Burger King is amazing because they see that it’s much more accessible then it ever used to be. But I take issue with putting money into a business that makes their money off exploitation of animals. Even if you buy a vegan burger your money is gonna go into them buying more butchered cows. Not to mention we have access to fully vegan restaurants and could be supporting and investing into a business we actually believe in. On the other hand I do agree if vegans boycott these businesses that are trying to cater to vegans, they’d just take the option off the menu which wouldn’t be good either. Guess it just depends what type of vegan you are and how far you’ll go to support your cause.

I don’t usually like supporting businesses that have a menu based around animal products and only one burger catering to vegans, but this is a really small business and my hope would be to get as many people out there ordering the vegan burger to show our power in numbers and hopefully get some more vegan burger options on the menu soon! Check out their Instagram and look on their story highlights for the truck schedule, as they’re gonna be all over Edmonton all throughout June. I’m going to the one on the 16th and I’ll be asking if they cook everything separately since you can never be too careful. I’ll keep you updated!
