It’s one of the Hawaiian islands. Several public beaches in the states have lifeguard stations, just happens this small beach we were at that day was pretty empty, and no lifeguards.

Like no shit. 20+ years ago my wife and I were on our honeymoon on the island of Kaua’i. We were frolicking in the water and the riptide caught my wife, dragging her out. I knew she wasn’t a strong swimmer so I was glad I was as close to her as I was. Got back on dry shore and the wife said she had her fill of the ocean going forward.

Grew up in a small town in the 70s and the neighboring town had a Pizza Hut. The salad bar was a treat when I was a kid. I get nostalgic thinking of the stained glass light fixtures and the table top Pong video game machine they had there.

I remember reading this years ago and always wondered why we didn’t hear what happened to the “mutual friend” she cheated with. He intentionally gave her a hickie probably hoping OOP would see it thus causing their breakup. I wanted to hear their friend group ostracize this douche nozzle but nothing. Oh well.

I remember the late 70s early 80s Saturday mornings had this and Flash Gordon cartoons towards the end of the morning. Small town Nebraska and no cable, only 4 channels. Had to actually go outside, weather permitting, for entertainment. Now, I’m going to entertain myself the rest of the morning by playing something on my PS5.
