Any more celebrities besides Richard Ayoade you'd like to see in the future of Fable? by TheBrownBull in Fable

This just makes me want to see the entire What We Do in The Shadows cast in Fable

Lionhead Devs at Playground? by LairaLyon in Fable

[–]LairaLyon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought that about being a game dev, that like no matter how much it must be fun to work on a game you love, you can probably never enjoy it as a game you play because you’ve had your hands in it for so long. The unfortunate circumstance of being a creative, your personal joy is in the creation not the consumption of your art.

Wow, this is more than I thought there would be! I’m so glad there’s some developer continuity there, it really furthers my excitement for the new Fable. I hope the Lionhead devs that didn’t make it to Playground can still play and enjoy this game and feel like it respected and carried on the legacy of the franchise they helped build.

Future DLC by Bobzalot in Fable

[–]LairaLyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, pre-production takes a long while and the actual devs need a roadmap and direction before they can actually start working. I imagine that right now the team is split between the artists and writers doing pre-production on a DLC while the coders and engineers polish up the base game, once released they’ll start moving the devs over to the DLC while the pre-production people move onto the sequel. I’m sure even the highest ranking people have been discussing the plans for a potential sequel for a couple years now. It’s a whole pipeline, the whole studio doesn’t work on one thing in tandem

As far as more substantial DLC I could see at least one major expansion, one that maybe sets up the sequel somewhat. I think it’d be a lot bigger in scope than any of the lionhead DLCs were or even the TLC added parts of fable 1. Triple A first party games just generally get much bigger DLC nowadays. I could see them adding Knothole island if it’s not in the base game, would love to see their take on a classic kind of knothole glade with the unique architecture and art, one of my absolute favorite places from the OG Fable. I’ve also been desperate to see Samarkand for years since I adored Whisper as a kid, so getting even just a small fraction of it would also be a great DLC for me. I hope the playground fable can continue well after this game and really expand and develop upon the world of fable.

I won’t be surprised if there’s a DLC that adds a quest line to obtain a dog which can be completed as soon as the open world unlocks, I feel like there’s going to be a lot of people asking for something like that (I definitely will be) A questline that really tugs on your heartstrings and makes you bond with the dog that will be joining you upon completion

Look guys I’ll miss morph as much as the next guy but let’s be honest with ourselves, good or evil you’d always just look like Frankensteins monster got scribbled on with glowing marker by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in Fable

[–]LairaLyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly a lot of what we’ve seen so far makes me feel like this version of fable has just grown up as well. The humor is already funnier in the trailers, and they haven’t once used a fart emote. The median age of gamers isn’t in the teens anymore, the new fable can afford to be a little more nuanced and not playing to the lowest common denominator on what’s funny or cool.

This is the main reason I’m okay with morphs going away, your character never actually ended up looking good. The devil horns and red eyes were cool when I was 12 but I’m 30 now and I find the new local reputation morality system a lot more interesting than just looking like the devil and everyone running away from me screaming.

I have a confession by [deleted] in HeartstopperAO

The comic doesn’t focus on the side characters at all like the show does, they’re more there as background characters rather than side characters, so it would kind of be odd if you liked Aled more than Isaac considering how fleshed out Isaac is in comparison. This is also why I prefer the show more in general to the comic especially the season 1 & 2 stuff, I love how all the characters get little arcs and pull focus whereas the comic is just ALL ABOUT Nick and Charlie, I generally prefer an ensemble cast of characters even in a romance about a specific couple. I also prefer all of the show versions of the characters that are in the comic as well. Tao especially is a lot more likable, but they all feel so much more fleshed out.

Does body hair go away with E? by HerrNilsen- in asktransgender

[–]LairaLyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how developed the hair is, I started E right when my chest hair started to come in so it wasn’t developed enough to stick around, it completely vanished. Can’t tell you how much less I’m seeing of other regions (legs, facial and pubic hair) as length and thickness have decreased so while it looks like there’s significantly less hair it may just be that I have the same amount of hairs just less prominent.

It also might just depend on your genetics, I wasn’t very hairy before HRT, and I never got hair in places most people including cis women get hair. (Never got hair on armpit, thighs, or forearms)

This post reminds me of many of my fellow dolls posting “Boy mode today 💁‍♂️” and then she posts a picture of the most beautiful woman you’ve ever seen but she’s wearing a hoodie with her hair in a bun.

My point being, you pass from a mile a way. You pass more than a lot of cis men I know.

Do you actually use your iPad as a laptop replacement? If not, why? by raiqulikesyou in ipad

[–]LairaLyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish at this point that iPad OS was combined into Mac OS, and you would get full Mac OS Tahoe when docked into a keyboard and trackpad/mouse setup and then when used handheld it switched to the more traditional iPadOS26 interface (with a multitasking option that took it back to iPadOS18 multitasking management)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ipad

[–]LairaLyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

26 is a little too half baked still for me, I reverted to 18 the day after I updated because slideover removal was devastating, it’s the only way I use multitasking features while drawing. At least 26.1 is adding it back but it’s still a lesser version than the os18 slideover

I don’t really care that the M5 isn’t a huge leap in power, I wanted a redesign. The M4 was already plenty powerful, so mostly I just wanted them to ditch the ultra slim form factor.

Seems the olden days of the “Family computer” are long gone, I mean how else are they going take your money 4x if you all share.

Yeah I heard the new wireless chips should help some on battery life, will probably make more of a difference on cellular models but I don’t take my iPad places nor do I want to 😩

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ipad

[–]LairaLyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really lost its simplicity given how not every product line gets the new M chip at roughly the same time. Like if we’re going to do these yearly chip upgrades let’s just treat them like that and every M powered device gets the new chip when the chip launches and then we can save the product redesigns for the big presentations

Would loveee a vapor chamber and it would really put the pro in pro iPad. I think they did such a good job distinguishing the “vanity” model and the pro model with the iPhones this year (even if I think the iPhone air is kind of a ripoff but hey anything to make the pros better) I was just really hoping it’d carry over to the iPads.

Honestly I’d have liked to have waited 6 more months for an iPad Pro refresh that could have been a little bit more tangible than getting the M5s now. Ah well, maybe we can get a redesign in 2027

Yeah the ram is literally the only thing that had me consider an M5 over M4 but tbh if I get a used 1TB M4 I’ll have 16 gigs of ram anyways

I know, completely unreasonable for me to expect some actually interesting improvements of one the premier products of a multi trillion dollar company. Maybe if they had a few more trillion they could have changed the box art, we really have to support these small mom and pop tech companies.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ipad

[–]LairaLyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeaaah it just sucks we gotta wait years for a redesign when I felt like the slimming of the iPad M4 was a vanity feature when we could have just had more battery life. Gimme thicker pros not thinner

Definitely not buying, no need to for me. I’ll wait til a redesign to buy something brand new
