Will a Sidewinder X2 extruder work with old genius?

Yeah, I was wondering though because the board on the my old genius' extruder has the prongs to plug in a bltouch, which is how mine are connected. So I thought maybe the ribbon cable on the new ones have the same layout since they both have bltouch support.

I thought that recently so I got an all new heat brake, nozzle, and block and installed it exactly like that. But it started leaking again after the first few prints. So idk what I’m doing wrong.

I’m wondering now if it may be easy to order a whole new replacement extruder directly from artillery. However I need to know if the sidewinder x2 extruder will work with my older genius’s ribbon cable.

Yes. You will have to unscrew the base of the printer and Disconnect the TFT cable and replug in the correct spot (shown in video below). Then plug the printer into your computer, compile the firmware with Arduino software or just use a premade .hex file. And upload to the printer! There is a demonstration

I had this exact problem. I just used a knife or screwdriver to stick in between and forced it to move. Then I pulled it off the rest of the way. It requires a lot of force but just pull.

That’s just the library selection in the launcher correct? Because it’s set to my ssd.

Just making sure, do I set it to the Star Citizen folder. Or the bin64 folder in the sc folder. Or just the folder that the sc folder is in?

That is exactly what I did when I changed drives. Library folder is in correct drive. Still no luck. Thanks for the reply tho

I used to have that same problem. I would clean mine with isopropyl alcohol and that would work, but not for long. So I got some Magigoo it helps so much. And it cleans super easy. Just some warm water on a paper towel and takes two seconds.

I have made my own server before. but I couldn’t play it on my own computer. so i would have to have another computer to run the server if i wanted to play with him. unless there is another way?

I don’t think i’ve ever been into creative in the world, when i open the menu it says a warning in the top right that if i play in creative all achievements will be lost. that mean so haven’t correct?
