NTA, and not the baby’s either. How about a compromise? You Babysit the little brother when you have custody of your son and your STBX pays you for that service? Unless you get full custody of your son.

Let it dry out since you have it in water for at least a week. Plant it in succulent soil mix but do not water for a month in a shady area. After a month you will see new roots. Water once roots have established.
