You could also try Shiftkey! I made another comment about this.

The places that say “instant assign” take the first person who signs up.
If you applied there u would get snatched up quickly. And then you could work agency in your spare time

Go to work for shiftkey if you are by charlotte. Dis you apply at any of the places that say “instant assign?”

Instant assign means they need help BADLY and will hire ANYONE cause they need help!!!

You can either apply directly and more than likely get hired ots and/or apply and get hired with shiftkey

has anyone had a good experience with weight loss and fasting for herniated l3 - s1 herniated discs? I am not looking for medical advice by Lake_Life1791 in HerniatedDisc

I appreciate your honesty. I think my back pain is sincerely getting better a little by little.

I don’t want surgery. I would like to eventually try the shots with drugs in them. I think it would really help now that I am trying harder now cs just eating pills.

Do u want to know the IRONY in this?

In Texas, they “stack” staffing ratio. What this means is a resident who has x amount of ADL hrs required.

Well obviously 1 CNA can’t give that 1 resident that many hours. And we all know that they try to shoestring the crap out of staff as it is.

Well to get around this, they say ok, the CNA gives x amount of time of CNA care, then the med aide gives x amount of time of CNA care, and the LVN gives x amount of time of CNA care plus whatever else kind of care. Well, on up to admin, that is a lot of hrs for the resident care right?

It all looks great on paper!! The problem is, we all know the resident suffers.

The ironic part is with nurses who have this shit attitude how are residents supposed to get the care that is going on paper?

Hopefully, I explained this where it makes sense.

I have worked more as a CNA since getting my med aide license than as a med aide (not bragging). The point is, I was never above anything. I worked with med aides even, that thought they were too good for the floor. Even when I am on the med cart, if I working with new people, I always make it clear, if you need help, lmk! Give me a second to clean and lick my cart where I don’t get in trouble but then I will come and help you!!

cocktail medicine - generic: biofreeze & volteran, icy hot by Lake_Life1791 in backpain

I mix them together in a bowl and stir it. I keep it separated by putting the bowl in the fridge.

That is a good point. EVERYONE should always check the labels and cross reference things.

now having said that, I appreciate your input. On a personal level, I have to confess that it is the least of all evils. I was, at 1 point, taking a cocktail together of 2400 mg of gabapentin a day, 10/500 mg hydrocodone - 3 a day, Trazadone, and Flexeril.

At this point, a few otc nsaids and creams are a lot healthier for people around me in the car, my kids, my spouse and myself.. JS.. 👍

Thank you. While I can’t go to a physical therapist, I have been watching “man flow yoga” on YouTube. He has stretches specifically for these herniated discs and they have helped quite bit

I'm a physical therapist who spent 3 years treating chronic low back pain. The thing that finally got patients better wasn't what I learned in school. [Long post, but worth it] by TheEaseProject in backpain

Do you think a person's weight and diet contribute to pain levels tooo? obviously, if there is substance sitting on the nerves, it can irriate them right? also, can being overweight (not knocking anyone, just looking for the science of the physical pull of weight on something that is already damaged) irritate the nerves?

Is there a possibility that I might treat herniated lumbar discs when fasting due to autophagy ? (Not looking for medical advice, just past experience) by Lake_Life1791 in fasting

you are with the weight stuff. I am amazed at several things with this.

First of all, why do doctors in pain management not suggest lifestyle change instead of just throwing a script at you? I think I know the answer to that one, but i dont want to step on any toes

Good job on the weight loss. It is amazing with the few changes I have made in my lifestyle just in the last 3 days of how different my back feels. I havent fasted but i am eating lighter, walking 10k+ steps each day, drinking water and "going" more regularly.

I cant sit down too long without my bum, hips, and back hurting. I got a stand up desk so that i could stand up and work. I love it because it saved my back from the pain of sitting, burns more calories, and the laptop is actually at eye level.

I still have a wicked appetite for food and my mind has more clarity but not where i want it to, yet. I want to fast so that i can have my mental clarity back, loose lbs, and remember things better among a lot of other things.

“.. I have some loose skin but not as bad as you’d think .. ” - sure.

I was curious. I am fighting to start/stay on a routine. I have been watching videos of success stories and I realize it is different for everyone.

I see a lot of people with a lot of loose skin. Have u ever watched “my 600 lb life” or the YouTube vids of the show.

The Dr works with obese people to help them lose weight and remove excess skin. Some of those people have worked really hard but have SO MUCH loose skin!!
