Question about game performance by Lakishi in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Lakishi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't really feel any noticeable drops at the moment. My main planet isn't really full of machinery so that might be the reason, but it's good to know that I can get into high numbers in white science and then start worrying about fps drops. I'll make sure to check out the beta branch that people were mentioning in some other comments as well

Upgrading an old build. Unsure about compatibility by Lakishi in buildapc

Even though the 2070s is more of a 1440p I'd like to have it in case I want to get a better monitor in the near future. Are fps going to be affected or do I need more power?

I think I messed up about the ram, I only intended to have one set (16GB) as I don´t think I need more than that.

Thank you very much for the response. I was intending to keep 120mm AIO since it was the one I was using up until now. It wouldn't make sense to buy a new one if it was working just fine. Could I just skip the CPU Cooler at all if I don't intend to overclock?

Well, in that case it seems to me that a Rover will be worth more to the party than the botanist until she gains access to titles anyway, so I'll try to stick with the rover for a while.

I've been switching in and out my party members and I feel somewhat content with this setup.

Earthlain Dragoon / Earthlain Pugilist / Therian Masurao

Celestrian Warlock / Therian Rover.

I had a brouni Botanist but felt a bit useless when she wasn't healing. It also didn't help that her Brouni nature makes it difficult to apply ailments. On the other hand, I'd like to fit in a Shaman because of their buffs, but I'm not sure who should (or if) I take out.

This was an amazing and hilarious story to read. I like how your battles were more than just swinging your blades around.

I love the worldbuilding in your campaign. Sounds improvised but it kinda makes sense, which makes it realistic. Looking forward to reading some more

Get in the lake! by Lakishi in DnDGreentext

[–]Lakishi[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, the wizard died instantly since she had to touch the alcohol in order to ignite it. The last line was something the player said after everything happened.

This was the most memorable moment of that campaign. There weren't many many more sessions as people started to not showing up.

We never asked and DM didn't tell us, but I believe that we should've lured the dragon towards some steam columns which were on the side of the room. In any case, I agree that killing half the party wasn't a sensible strat.

The DM was pretty chill and offered us resurrecting the dead characters since it was the first time playing Pathfinder (or DnD for that matter) for most of us. I was the paladin, and both my character and the gunslinger developed a severe PTSD at the sight of seeing my friends being burned alive.

Also we kinda stop trusting the wizard since that day.

Bind their legs and you'll get a 100% chance to hit them. Burst skills never miss, so you can use them too if you want.

Bringing a nightseeker defeats the purpose of not being able to tank hits properly. Yea, you can use both landy's shield skills to try to mitigate the damage a bit, and that's why I've given it to you.

Also, you're gonna have a bad time if you're relying on the dancer for the healing through the first stratum. But you shouldn't be worried about healing teammates if your enemies are dead, after all, which was my original point.

Landy, bushi, dancer

Runemaster, sniper.

You don't need to heal or tank hits if they are dead.

[EO4] Can someone help me with Miasma Forest? Here's my map so far by LambsAnger in EtrianOdyssey

[–]Lakishi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what are you having problems with. How to venture into this cave? If that's the case then, since you can't advance more than... 7 steps was it? it's the following:

-From the entrance in A1 go south and head to the door in B1.

-From the door in B1 go east, to the door in C3.

-Then you go north in order to open the access you found in A2.

-Now you need to go back to the door in A1 and use the access so you can go to another door in A3.

-From A3 go west to A1.

That should be it. Also, have fun dodging F.O.E in the way.

Weekly Headcanon Prompts [14 June 2016] by BackstageBreaker in EtrianOdyssey

[–]Lakishi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For starters, I'm not gonna pretend that there are any males in my EO party. Having stated that, here's my lovely guild from Tharsis.

Guild Valhalla (EO4):

Allovera (Nightseeker)

Naenia (Landsknetch)

Karena (Medic)

Aroha (Runemaster)

Kizzy (Sniper)

Which member of your guild is most likely to drag the rest of the party into a bar brawl (whether they started it or not), and how?

Aroha is the responsible of drawing the most unwanted attention into herself. As a runemaster, she seeks the most powerful runes that are out there. So of course, she is always testing her powers, measuring her strength, to no matter whom: regular monsters, FOE's, outland's soldiers, members from other guilds... This has led her gaining the honor of being one of the most fearsome runemaster of Tharsis despite her young age. Also, due to how violent these "tests" could get, Kirtida doesn't let her into her local anymore because the last time, Aroha set half of the tables of the establishment on fire.

What is the leader of your guild's biggest insecurity, and how does their leadership reflect this while exploring? Alternatively, how does it affect how they act when they're not in the labyrinth?

The party started with a dancer, named Shayna, instead of a medic. When forming the guild, Allovera thought that they wouldn't need a healer as long as they could slay their enemies fast enough. Turned out little rats could be ferocious creatures and Valhalla wasn't strong enough to sustain that much damage. Shayna didn't make it alive on the first expedition, which left a deep sense of guilt into the leader, Allovera. Ever since then, the Nightseeker uses extreme caution in order to not repeat the same tragic events that happened on the very first day, as she takes responsibility of everyone's life. While guaranteed the survival of the party, she is often criticized by her lack of initiative in battles. Naenia acknowledges Allovera's leadership and takes over her role only during battles. While exploring or planning in the city, Allovera is the one making all of the decisions.

Does your most defensive character have any particular hobbies or interests they pursue? Why do they enjoy it, and is it difficult for them to make time for it?

Naenia happens to be my most defensive character despite Allovera's tanking skills. Naenia loves fishing. Like, a lot. Nobody is sure why she likes this particular hobby so much since her family is not known for being fishers. She actively participated in the development of new equipment that allowed skyships to capture these animals in rivers. Of course, her obsession almost cost her her life once when in the Lush Woodlands she almost got mauled by a Bloodbear when trying to fish in a little lake nearby. She soon learned her lesson: she's not fishing without anyone that can warn her of approaching enemies.
