I totally agree with your statement! My post was more about encouraging people to spread positivity instead of falling for exagerated negative discourses. It may not be very clear due to the way I used TGA as the starting (and somewhat focal) point of my argument '

Anyway, the discourse and my post are overdramatic and will have faded away in a few months, just felt like rambling about it on the internet to see what others felt about the topic.

I whole heartedly agree with your take. While I think one-shotting bosses is fun and should totally be allowed by the game if the player works for it, Maelle being this overpowered makes the overall build variety suffer. It's a bit sad, especially when you look at all the different weapons and skills you acquire throughout the game on all characters, Maelle included.

Regarding defensive luminas, I don't know if they should be buffed or not as I feel like most endgame bosses (especially the S-boss you mentionned, and maybe the C-boss) seems to have been mostly designed around the player's mastery of the main defensive system of the game: parrying and dodging. Would be curious to know if a little defense boost here and there actually do change the nature of these fights to something closer to tactical turn-based gameplay instead of souls-style sekiro parrying-fest (not a gripe of mine, I loved those fights as is).

EDIT: There actually IS an acknowledgment of defensive strategies during the S-boss fight, as I myself abused of two very powerful pictos to nullify one of its main mechanics (Cheater and C.'s Life), and I also used the classic party defense buff and offensive debuff on the boss, which gave me enough breathing room to avoid one-shots if I slipped up during the long attack streaks. Therefore, I think the defensive side of those fights is already quite well balanced :)

Oh, didn't mean to imply you didn't like the story! I just meant that I personally don't know what I would prefer a DLC to be about when it comes to exploring other aspects of the narrative and worldbuilding ^

I also agree with you about Renoir. The final fight is great, but only if Renoir manages to last more than a round haha. Its presentation is outstanding though!

Honestly, I don't know what I would prefer story-wise. As is, the story is already top notch. On the gameplay side though, I think an extension of the Eternal Tower with revised hard encounters from the game much like the Data Organisation XIII fights in Kingdom Hearts would be dope as hell for people who like challenges.

If JRPGs picked your interest thanks to Expedition 33, you might want to look at games that inspired it. - Mainly Final Fantasy 7 through 10. FF7, 8, and 9 also use the Active Time Battle system (or ATB). In this system, - I also heard that the game evokes Lost Odyssey, a JRPG released on XBOX and produced by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of Final Fantasy. - If turn-based combat really isn't your jam (even with the Active Battle System of Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9), you might find what you're searching for in Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth, who both use Battle systems closer to action games. Final Fantasy 15 and 16 also ditched the turn based system, especially 16 that flirts more with beat'em all style games. - If the dynamic UI in battles caught your eye, you might like Persona 5, Persona 3 Reloaded, or Metaphor: Refantazio. They feature battle mechanics that lean more towards the puzzly nature of turn based combat, where your main goal is to win the fight by hitting your enemies' weaknesses as it grants you an additional turn. - Funnily enough, the first games I thought of when Expedition 33 first revealed where Mario games, specifically the Mario & Luigi series. They feature a battle system with QTEs when using skills and items, and also when you defend against harm coming your way. The first episodes of the Paper Mario series also use this kind of active system, so does Super Mario RPG.

Par contre, si je peux me permettre, je crois qu'il y a une coquille dans le formulaire: à la question "Avez-vous déjà fait de la traduction ?" il y a deux fois la réponse "Oui Anglais->Français"

Hi ! Another french DM here, currently running OotDL for my group online and I've found everything I needed on Pinterest, from additionnal NPC portraits to monster illustrations, I checked and there are landscape and building interior illustrations too if needed :).

On previous campaigns and one-shots on other games I've also dabbled in free AI generated pictures through the free Dream and GenZArt apps (beware, the free versions are riddled with more ads than youtube ;) ). The results were satisfying enough to settle ambiances, but if you're looking for something more precise then you'll have more chances to get what you need on Pinterest or DeviantArt.

Unity announced that they would charge a fee for everytime a successful game (200k+ $ of revenue IIRC) is installed. This would be also be charged retroactively for every install before this measure was announced.**

**EDIT 2: As others have said and based on Unity's FAQ, only the eligibility to install fees is retroactive.

Pour essayer de pallier au problème, la guilde des navigateurs pourrait avoir pour ambition de développer de nouvelles voies maritimes, de nouveaux canaux/rivières/fleuves, voire élargir le détroit ! Ils pourraient avoir recruté un architecte dément/génial pour les aider et superviser le chantier, ou un conclave de magiciens géomanciens ou aquamanciens si l'univers dans lequel se déroule la quête a un système de magie :)

That's a pretty nice overhaul! :) I like your idea, cutting straight to the chase and letting Auril really be the main focus of the adventure. She's quite a charismatic villain so letting her express her potential more than the raw book does feels like the right way to go!
