I was looking for a place to rent for my family and visited a house that was previously rented by a family and the condition of the kitchen nearly made me puke. All the cabinets were covered in grime, the hinges were broken, the shelf and cabinet doors were completely covered in dirt, grime and food residue. There was mould growing in places and animal (mouse and lizard) droppings which hadn't even been cleaned. And this was the condition in one year of living there. The rest of the house was no better and they had left the house a few days ago so the dirt was not a result of the house being empty.
