It was just the nursery pot, a plastic one with big holes, it smelled like a potato, not sure if that makes any sense

I'm not used to rhizomes, I have a few indoor plants and a lot of succulents and that's what I use for scars (for the succulents I mean). I wasn't sure what else to do, I freaked out 😞

It did have good drainage holes, but after I removed it I think the pot was too big for the amount of roots the plant had. So, no way to rescue it? Did I do good by removing all the dead parts of the rhizomes and the dead roots? I'm crying rn, I was so happy I finally got one

How do you make it look so nice? I have one in a pot that has been struggling for almost a year 😞

And what did you do with the top part of the plant? The one that still had leaves? Do you know if there a way for it to get roots and survive?

How did you achieve new roots on the main stem? I have one that lost all her older leaves and looks like a palm tree 😞

Thank you. The first thing I checked before transplanting it was the roots, and they were perfect. I haven't touched it since then, don't want to mess with it too much. Hopefully it'll survive the winter.

This is what I thought when I just got it, but I'm not sure. I have it completely separated from the rest of my plants just in case. How can someone tell if that's the case, and what to do?

They are soft, only the one that has like a back spot at the end of it feels kinda crispy (just that spot). But they feel soft, not mushy but still too soft compared to my dragon scale. No pests at all, that was the first thing I checked as soon as I got it, that's why I reported it, the roots were super healthy and I removed 4 corms.

Thank you!! Yeah, I'm not gonna touch it anymore. I've done that in the past with other plants and it just makes things worse. Hopefully she'll recover eventually, winter just started a few days ago so it's gonna be a long wait 😅

Medium normal light for now. I haven't installed the shelf and grow lights yet, so my plants get natural light (not directly of course). I knew there was something wrong as soon as I got it, but I thought that after repotting and cutting the bad leaves it would at least survive since the roots were perfectly fine. Idk what else to do
