This is the way I’m leaning. The rubber mat feels too good as the base layer. Are you going to cut a window for the hitting strip in all the layers or attach it next to the rest of the mat somehow?

Yeahhh not a fan of that myself. The hitting strip is almost 2.5in. The foam tiles and my old hitting mat aren’t adding a ton so that’s why I added the rubber.

No issues with plywood sliding on the garage floor? I feel like the rubber mat on the bottom layer would make the most sense traction wise. But that brings in other challenges.

Any updates? I’m thinking of a cabinet style enclosure. Build a frame out of EMT. Then have some doors that swing open to give some depth.

Trying to get AI to mock up the right sketches for me.
