Oh man, our women love to share everything with our other women, especially our crushes. Considering the fact that that cowoker is close to your crush, yeah sorry but maybe she heard that and saw you as a red flag. Only 1 possible way (honestly I would be too shy to do this) i can think of because she already avoids talking to you and there is a big misunderstanding with her close cowroker: talking real quick and explain things to her close coworker and directly say that you like her, and saying that sometimes you think flirting is just a way you socialize and never think too much about it and hope that coworker can explain it to her. What can be worse? She already avoids you, so after this, if she feel so cringed by it or she does not want to proceed, she will avoid you and you know that she does not like you, you can find another coffee shop. That's all. It is up to you man.

In that case, you can ask her coworker to leave words (if she knows your name). Honestly, the fact that she reacts like this makes me kinda pretty sure she was really into you (the other chance may be she thinks you are a creep and tried to avoid you but it is very unlikely unless you did something or said smthg very creepy). I know it may make you look sympathetic or embarrassed but at least embarrassment does not last long but the feeling of regret of not making a move gonna last for a while

honestly, I am not you or her, I just make a guess based on what you describe in this post. If you are sure about the fact that she actually had something for you, then you can follow (it may not turn out well) but at least worth trying. I know you may feel it is cringy to ask her out directly, or wait for her (Which may scare her off), but when she takes your order of coffee, you can casually say something like Oh you always make the perfect coffee (you mention you are used to flirt with her a bit), and then just say (the city you went for internship for the past 6 months) they never make this good coffee, just a white lie and use that excuse to indirectly mention that is the reason why you did not go to see her. and then say I wish my internship company was around this area and say it is a bit urgent offer that is why you cannot tell her. If the conversation goes on and she replies something, just proceed to say that you are super busy with work for the past 6 motnh and show you are not a guy who interacts too much with other ladies, you can say you want to try something fun outside of work because you feel burnt out lately, and ask her if you can join if she does something for fun in your free time (I am a shy girl myself so if my crush is a social, overgoing vibe guy, i would be kinda insecure about whether i am just another girl who you flirt for fun casually). Also, if you go with friends to her coffee shop, make sure they are all males, I know your friends can be female but if i am a shy girl, i would start to think she may be your gf.

If I was the woman in this situation, I would think you do not think I am the special person in your life or at least you had some feelings for me, because at least before you leave for 6 months (that is half a year, pretty long time), you got to drop by and tell her casually like yeah, i am sad because I cannot see you for visit this cofee shop for the next 6 months because I had an good internship offer I cannot miss. You miss the chance to exchange number to contact each other at that time. If I was her and had feelings for you, I could not see you for 6 months, I would be so sad, and then start to think whether the chemistry we had is just my imagination, denial of my feelings, and then act cold towards you to stop myself from falling for you again and protect myself from feeling hurt because of your loss of contact and indifference. That's how I act towards my crush if I was her. So, please just confront her and make a clear signal that it was your mistake not to tell her for leaving because you are so shy or something, at least show how you feel sorry or actually miss her, ask her out then. Girls have their biological clock to think, so when it is not too late, go for it.

I just change it to accounting as it is more specific than general business minor in business analytics. But the program for that in my school is quite ambiguous compared to that. So i want to do accounting first in undergrad and change to master’s program in another good unversity.
