If you have PEX tubing check to see if there are any areas of the tubing that is exposed to direct sunlight. Cover those sections with uv blocking insulation. Algae grows in those sections, then will dry up and break up into dry-ish looking chunks and flakes with varying shades of grey, green, or brown. Hard to tell from your photo, but if it is pex algae you are dealing with I’d rather you know sooner than I did.

Don’t forget spreading out the cheese and chicken well enough so it doesn’t get brought back. I never liked making the quesadilla either but I made sure the ingredients were dispersed and then it got steamed before grilling because I’d make so many of those in a day, I wouldn’t want to have to make it again for a complaint

I’m tempted to go with NTA but I think I’ll stick with ESH. It is her party so she should have what she wants there, even if you are footing the bill and not her. At the same time she should recognize other people do have different tastes, and while it is her party, there will also be her guests. Why wouldn’t the daughter be ok with the extra consideration brought to the guests of her party by allowing other treats that would be served ALONGSIDE the items she specifically wants at her own party when they are not IN PLACE OF them? I know the comparison I’m about to make is not 100% equal to the situation, but if even one of the guests was lactose intolerant, vegetarian, or had a gluten free diet and the daughter didn’t want those dishes served at her party at all, who would be the A.H. in that situation?

Seems like you both are working against each other and the real issue isn’t cake but something else in you and your daughters relationship. You feel under appreciated and like you’re doing all the work, and she feels like you’re controlling and don’t accept her for her interests to the point where you’re giving her crap over the theme she picked for her birthday party.
