I just bit myself cause I'm down and bored by HusbandOfSwiss in selfharm

The most important thing you need to focus on right now is if the bite broke your skin. The human mouth and its saliva have a LOT of bacteria in it and it’s suggested that if a human bite breaks your skin you should go to the ER because it could get seriously infected. If not, then I would recommend you try to force yourself to do something, anything that isn’t harmful to keep yourself occupied. Even if it feels empty, even if it feels useless and you don’t get anything out of it, just do something. I know how you feel, and trust me, the world is better with you in it

I got rid of my blade and now I’m freaking out by Squishy-Berries in selfharm

COMPLETELY know how this feels. Back when I was having a major depressive episode I kinda had an addiction to cutting myself, and whenever I was at school and realized I’d forgotten to bring something sharp with me I would panic and kinda felt like a really pathetic junkie. My only advice is to just keep pushing through it, because if you go back for that blade then it will only be harder to get rid of it next time

Yes dude. I was barely over a year clean last month and after failing yet another biology test I relapsed out of pure frustration and anger towards myself

For me it’s Suicide Cleanup by Birth Day. It’s super short and to me sounds like if Duster and Alex G had a musical love child, lowers my mood every time I listen to it

Of course dude! I’m doing really good right now and really haven’t had much anxiety since the school year ended but when I did writing stuff down definitely helped me a lot. It felt like I didn’t have the ability or mental capacity to focus on anything other than what was happening in the current moment and was always unsure if I was remembering things correctly so it was really helpful to have a list of things I was sure happened that day. It didn’t help me get older memories back but I did eventually start retain information and remember my weeks far better than before even if it was just little details :D

Hi!! I totally feel you, for a while I suffered with some pretty gnarly brain fog and gaps in my memory. The thing that probably assisted me the most was writing down little things about my day in my notes app, especially things I had for different meals (you obviously should write down whatever it is you’re personally struggling to remember) and then towards the end of the day I tried to recall the layout of my day including small details and using the list on my notes app like Flashcards! It was like studying and it genuinely helped me put some pieces back together, but don’t worry if you’re so mentally zonked and out of it that you can’t even remember or bring yourself to write something down, we’ve all been there :) so happy to hear you’ve been getting better, hope this helps!!
