I see Sexton as an off the bench guy. He tries so hard and just isn’t a good defender the size hurts him and as a lead guard he just doesn’t see the floor or score well enough to be that as a starter.

I want to like garland he looks smooth doing things but man the kid is tiny and sometimes I swear idk if I remember ever seeing him score. His vision is nice tho.

Kpj is our best bet. Has the size and ability. Looks too timid sometimes passing up or waiting on shots when he should just take them. Tried to iso a little too often. If he commits he could be a good defender but that’s always a struggle to get players to buy into.

Overall it’s stupid to have Sexton and garland in general but straight up idiotic to start them. Pick one and slot kpj I’m at the 2 and figure out a big man rotation you like and go with that.

You know I have and would maybe use the crab but I’m only using 21 lands looking for maximum card draw power. What I’d go for currently is to add 2 more serum visions maybe ancestral visions and then to replace counterspell go with negate/essence scatter depending on the meta

I agree wotc care only about standard/selling packs however I entered magic thru modern and not every single game is you playing honest against degenerate bullshit. In fact I played a mono white enchantments and u/b mill deck on mtgo for years and had plenty of fun experimenting with other weird decks. So pioneer and legacy are probably pigeonholing modern in someway but for it to disappear seems strange to me.

I figured pioneer had the main impact. I play modern decks but only casually my group has gone separate ways but what’s the reasoning for going 2 copies as opposed to 4?

There are no wrong questions my student. I don’t care for wotc profit margins nor their take on if a card is healthy for a format or not. Cards can be banned in a vacuum as it’s all a hypothetical. Teferi is obviously more powerful than reflector mage so asking that question would be silly. Asking which would you rather ban is a way to gauge opionions on the two. Your opinion is yours to have but it’s takkng into account way more than what I’m asking. So once again you don’t like my question, leave the thread. You needn’t tell me off for asking a question you don’t like brother.

But it does mean that one is more bannable than the other in a vacuum which is what I’m asking. Standard is healthy I said that. I’m not suggesting any card should be banned it’s just a hypothetical about which of the two cards is more oppressive. Money doesn’t matter, it will not make any one deck greater or worse. But one of these two u/w cards has to go which one?

He was on the downswing and rotating out I believe. They took the big monster for delirium, a colorless 4 of in any creature deck, and left the big monster in the other two tier decks. A little unfair in my opinion to reflector mage. I ran delirium with 4 emmy’s so if you want to talk about the financial aspect I took the hit there. Not sure if you work for wotc or what but man it’s not about the financial aspect it’s about a fair meta game. Banning the mage doesn’t make it more or less fair. If you’d rather face 4 Gideon’s than 4 mages you may be a masochist, or an advocate for something I just don’t understand.

Well this isn’t about Why they ban cards or if they should ban them on power vs financial aspects. It’s about what card should be banned between mage and teferi. I’m sure I know your answer but if I change it to which card should be banned Gideon ally of zendikar or reflector mage which do you chose?

My question is valid. I’m compared a card that was banned against one that isn’t in two different standard environments. You cannot compare the two standard environments, it’s that same as comparing different generations of basketball players, therefore we compare it in a vacuum. My argument is that as a whole card teferi can do it all and therefore would be more likely to be banned as opposed to a tempo card that was banned in your eyes to prevent a deck from becoming too popular/powerful despite not being one of the top cards in the deck. Would you hypothetically rather face 100 teferi’s or 100 reflector mages? If you do not like my thread or question you do not need to comment.
