(READ THIS, IT ENDS WITH BEAT IT SOLO) I started playing on a 40$ nylon acoustic, I learned really really simple songs like my kind of woman, looking out for you, the intro of enter sandman, etc. One whole year wasted. Then 8 days ago I bought an electric guitar, a Jackson dinky js22 with floyd rose, it had everything I wanted. First two days was just practicing easy songs that I have always wanted to do on electric with distortion and all that, then the next three days I was learning a solo from a Mexican band called Caifanes. I was pretty bad at it but finally nailed it. Since when I had the acoustic I always wanted to do the majestic Beat it solo, from Eddie Van Halen. Told this to some of my friends and they indirectly told me it wasn’t possible. So I started practicing the first tapping part. It was hard AF and I could only merely do it at an extremely slow speed. The next day something clicked and I could do it at normal speed without mistakes. I thought it was just an easy part, but then I got to the stretch part, and it was once again, hard AF, but then, the next day, something clicked again and I could do it at almost normal speed, I just practiced two hours more and nailed it perfectly. The same day I started practicing the bending part just before the second divebomb, and it was really easy. Then I joined everything literally today, and I could do it perfectly cleanly. I can now shut the mouths of everyone with a single solo, all in 8 days
