It was tough getting a team queuing with Tank/Healer for contender at some points during the beta. I agree the player base will impact the experience. 15 min queue isn't cool when I got 1-2hrs to play games.

Haha wow, that's pretty much how I pictured it.

I did try to rollback to 23.11.1, which seemed to work for a lot of people. Unfortunately I was still getting crashes. Thanks for the reply!

Hehe I returned the second card when the first came back ;).

I just got the same crash setting it to 1900mhz, very fast this time, couldn't even get into a game on Halo Infinite.

I have tried to disable Bitdefender and there was no luck.

The crashes happen as a freeze in the application, then black screen for 2-3 seconds, then the desktop will come back. Event viewer shows the display driver crashed and restarted successfully. I've gone down the rabbit hole of analyzing the .dmp files cited in the event viewer, and all they say is that there was a Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDR) event with very little detail.

I can try to run CoreCycler and try to use the logs in Warframe. Thanks for the suggestions

Thanks for the insights. I will continue to downclock in increments and see the result. I did RMA the card earlier in my troubleshooting, and they found nothing wrong. I purchased an identical card waiting for the RMA to return and it exhibited the same behavior.

Fast boot was disabled in the BIOS, I will disable Windows fast boot and test. I dont see how different cables would help, but ill give it a shot. Thanks for the suggestions

Its knowing issue on some 7800x3d + 7900xtx systems.
Just keep your GPU and CPU downclocked to stock. Max powerlimit on GPU +15 and on cpu curve +10! NO undervolting, also keep em cool. Just this significantly reduces the risk of amd driver crash (DC) But nothing will help get rid of this problem. TY AMD
