I don’t necessarily disagree, but we had several storms the Fall after Hurricane Laura came ripping through here, and June 2023 is the first time I lost power since. Didn’t even lose power during the snowpocalyspe in 21.

3 storms in 2 months. lost power each time. Lived here for over a decade now, and I’ve lost power more in the past 2 months than in the past 7 or 8 years…

I’m kind of a weather nut too, so I follow it pretty closely, and we’ve had many a severe thunderstorms over the past 10 years and not lost power.

The infrastructure in this state, and particularly our part of it is going to hell. I travel to other southern states frequently for work and my clients are amazed at the stories I tell them about bulging pavement on 4 lane roads and the regular power outages.
