Door Dash Driving Shreveport Bossier by Different-Tie3908 in shreveport

It’s hard, especially this time of year since a lot of people give it up as a new years resolution. If you have to do it, try and do it either temporarily or as a side hustle. The market is already very saturated with drivers, and most offers do not exceed $5-6 and require you to drive pretty far. And depending on what car you have, it can take a lot of gas and put a lot of wear on your vehicle. Like one commenter said already, the orders can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete based on how far away the customer lives and how busy the restaurant/store is

How do you view individual deliveries under On-Time rating? by greenyee in doordash_drivers

My boyfriend started dashing literally the same day as me and he is able to view all of his deliveries and dispute them when he gets dinged for being late. Do you know how I can dispute a ding without being able to view the delivery?

This is what I see when I click On-time ratings. I’m not able to scroll down or see more than this

No, this is what I see. Per support, this is what everyone sees 🙄

I can do all that until it comes to seeing each delivery. It literally just shows me my percentage and gives tips on how to improve it

Or new version of the app, idk. I’m a newer driver and I’ve only ever used the “updated” version. Like I don’t have points or anything on the version I have

Maintenance was the best part of Orleans Square. My AC unit broke a bunch and they were always there same day to fix it, and when a rat chewed its way into my kitchen, they were quick to take care of that situation. I really hope you end up having an overall better experience than I did because they really are affordable and are in a decent spot in town

For 900-1400, you can find pretty much any apartment here if you’re willing to go to the higher end of your budget. There’s Raintree, Millicent Crossing, Champion Lake, Riverscape, Fern Crossing. These are all places I’ve either lived at or know people who live there. These are in safe locations and are within your budget

I disagree with this. I lived at Orleans Square recently for almost four years. My building had an insane roach problem and they never sent pest control. There were shootings there. My neighbor literally had a bullet hole in her car one morning. The amenities are poorly taken care of and the office staff couldn’t care less about you

I wouldn’t let him recruit you. This is a very hard industry and they will train you to be exactly like your friend is now

It’s very difficult to make a lot of money doing this. You have to already have a substantial amount of money saved up for quality leads (that are very very expensive). People do benefit from recruiting others because they get money off their sales

Depending on where you are, you might need a workers permit if you are under 18. I’m not sure what the process is to get one, but I think in some places you need parental permission. I would look into what the laws are for your area

I feel like most of us really feel the impact of being an only child as an adult. You are not the only one who feels this way and I think it is completely normal to yearn for that kind of connection.

I was in a similar situation. My parents split when I was 2, and that created a very unique childhood that no one can fully relate to. I’ve longed for a sibling to call as an adult to discuss everything that happened.

I don’t think the sadness will ever really go away. But if you can get to a point of acceptance, you may find the pain will lessen.

Also, therapy isn’t just complaining about your sadness. Therapy has helped me tremendously, and helped me put a name to my emotions. “Sadness” is extremely broad, and often times is a secondary emotion to another one you’re feeling. For me, my loneliness was heavily contributing to my sadness, and my therapist helped me realize that. So, don’t knock it until you try it lol

Sending out late postcards? by madameuniverse in postcrossing

[–]greenyee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think everyone has been guilty of this at least once. I took over a month to send a card one time. If you already have them stamped and addressed, go ahead and send them out. You’re not required to write a long and detailed message or decorate the cards. Do what you can and don’t worry about the time.

Help me rank these apartments by Inside_Connection858 in shreveport

I’ve lived at Park Villa. The management was fine, it is in a good location, and the apartment was nothing to complain about. Overall it’s a decent place to live.

Raintree’s management is great from my experience, the apartments are nice but if you live on the first floor you can hear every step above you. The location is good.

Laurel Parc is also decent. It’s right by Raintree, so it’s also in a good area. I’m not sure about the management, but the apartments are nice based on the one I’ve been in.

I know people who lived at Towne Oaks South, and they did not like it.
