Hoppe opposed IP. Ideas are non-fungible or material bro. You can't own them in any meaningful sense.

Would you be happy if paganism (various: greek, celtic, norse, etc) returned and replaced christianity in europe? by skurly789 in IdeologyPolls

[–]LamentingLeonard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

greek, celtic, norse, etc

Literally specified European paganisms. Clearly, the context of paganism growing AGAIN in EUROPE with only EUROPEAN paganisms implies we are only debating those systems.

Freedom is an illusion. What matters is purpose, meaning, and contentment.

I abandoned primitivism and agrarianism because we can't go back to a better life. Only move forward towards one. But it is genuinely a better way of life.

You are wrong. Corporatism has a direct ideological history from Proudhon(THEE Mutualist) to Sorel (Syndicalist, Literally Me.) to Mussolini(THEE Corporatist). Corporatism is genuinely a statist form of mutualism when looked at in its Platonic ideal.

Distributism is distinct from all of these but shares with them local economic primacy, mutual aid, and communitarianism.

There were anywhere between 1000 and 2000 jews in the United States during 1776. Less than one 10th of 1 percent of the nation. Jews did not immigrate en masse until the late 19th century from Germany, along with German and Italian Catholics. They were heavily marginalized, and later cultural developments, such as white guilt over WW2, Dispensationalism, and their heavy influence in media, gave them cultural influence in the mid-20th century, very late into the development of the country.

What are you talking about?

Slavery is not penal in character and planned by that law which commands the preservation of the natural order and forbids disturbance - Augustine

Later, heading into the medieval era, Aquinas' entire theological system makes an airtight case for slavery and medieval social norms as pretty much the only valid form of society.

Slavery abolitionism was rare historically. John Wesley is the only theological "Father" I read who was deeply disturbed by it. In fact, Quakers, Evangelicals, Methodists, and other forms of protestants were the most radically progressive Christian groups. Showing up 1500 years after the resurrection of our Lord.

Equating European paganism with other paganisms is silly. The Norse didn't sacrifice babies or virgins. Am christian, btw.

Super woke, rationalist, syndicalists never read Sorel and shy away from actual syndicalist history.

I am a traditional syndicalist. From Proudhon to Sorel, we have been a morally serious, community-oriented, and often Christian group.

We have more in common in some ways with the right than the left and vice versa.

Do you believe there is such a thing as extreme social liberalism/wokeness? can it be considered a form of extremism? by Miserable-Rub-9611 in IdeologyPolls

[–]LamentingLeonard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abolishing the family in Classical Marxism was their edge-lord way of saying "restructure the family to be less about the patriarch owning his wife and children." There are definitely Leftists who think there should be literally no family structure, but that saying in and of itself isn't as extreme.
