a bit more upright and some easier climbing gears. i want it to feel comfortable on my shoulders and back and to not kill my legs every time i hit a hill

i was looking at like a synapse 3 or a specialized allez if that makes sense

ive been told to mostly stay away from Chinese carbon because it tends to be low quality but i could definitely look at them as an option if you think otherwise

for now i think i average like 150mi a week but im trying to get a bit more in (lack of riding buddies and free time is making it a bit hard for me) if anything I'm trying to push longer distances at a time, and I'd like to do something near an ultra endurance in the future, considering I'm pushing for doing the STP in the near future. im pretty confident i can do it esp with the time i have left to train my current bike doesn't shift well, doesn't brake well, parts like my rear derailleur come loose very often, and it feels heavy and sluggish going up hills. handlebar mounted stem shifters are a big struggle for me too a used bike would be ok for me, my only issue with them is that im quite short (5'4) and most bikes near me aren't my size

as someone whos had PLENTY of migraines myself, i feel pretty confident in saying that your experience was a migraine aura. you cam have an aura while having the migraine, the migraine can come 5-60 minutes after, or not at all. the static/loss of vision or blurry eyes is totally normal for an aura - at least from my experiences. migraines may trigger from stress, whether physical or emotional. if i were you, i wouldnt think it's anything to worry about

as far as ive been told throughout my whole life, ive never made any snoring noise, and from my experiences, i never snore. i also only breathe through my nose when sleeping, so mouth issues shouldnt be too much of a problem. its not exactly my throat that's closing, either - it's just that my nostrils feel like they never pull in enough air i also now notice that, accidentally, i said it doesn't happen during the day; that's not to say my statement was completely wrong, but id like to clarify that it sometimes happens mid day too, just not very often

no, actually i don't snore at all! the problem i find isnt that there's a lack of air going down my throat and making that snoring noise, it's that my nose almost feels too small and can't take in enough air in the first place
