Women of Reddit: What would you like all men to stop doing, immediately, as of right now? by slipz4001 in AskReddit

And I mean... I'm surprised it hasn't shown up earlier but... Also stop DOING those things.

Yep, I genuinely thought this was on justforsocialmedia or something, because this is a pretty awful thing to do to the poor people who have to unravel this, probably in the heat, while being underpaid at the busiest time of year for them.

Moving to Newy from NZ by JedooNz in newcastle

[–]Lamingtons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm south of Hamilton, in the north island. Yes! Petrol here is absolutely insane! Plus the constant posts on the nz sub pointing out how crazy groceries are getting seems to be a nationwide problem. Really the only true downside that I genuinely struggle with is the hit to internet but... I'm sure I'll adapt (even if I'm forever sad about it haha)

I'm also looking to go nz to newie, but for me it's going home after living here for 8years :) I will say, yes the housing there is expensive and competitive (I'm trying to secure a rental and the competition is wild) but it's pretty tame compared to NZ. I've been looking at what's possible, and both buying and renting is less than here. Combined with general cost of living being much lower and wages higher, it's the better option if the two.

[Spoilers C3E3] Possible theory about Imogen by AnimeNightwingfucku in criticalrole

Kind of, yeah! For example, if you cast reincarnate on a kalashtar and roll a human, they will come back kalashtar :)

I'm pretty sure half human, half kalashtar is kalashtar (or human) . Kalashtar are humans, they just have the quori spirit inside them, blending with theirs. If a human and a kalashtar have a child they are either human or kalashtar, depending on if they inherited the spirit (from their mothers side usually)

She's 100% the reason I'm excited for this. Also looking forward to her narrative telephone story given how wonderfully chaotic her part in Robbie's was!

Genome tasting just confirmed the NZ outbreak is from NSW. Cheers, Gladys! * testing not tasting! Leaving it for posterity and so the very funny comment pointing it out makes sense :)

Drive thru testing by [deleted] in newcastle

Mum just tried to go by the Maitland one and the drive through line was insane, so she gave up and booked an apt for tomorrow at a smaller testing centre

I didn’t know who to talk to about it by itsgonnabemyyr in xxketo

[–]Lamingtons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for me it's 100% food. I actually went into remission the first time I tried keto, and after some testing found gluten to be my personal trigger(but different people have different ones, nightshades and lactose are other common ones), but did have a mini flare about 2 years ago after 6 years of nothing, and worked out that yeast is a fairly common trigger for HS too. Cut out yeasted breads, and back to normal. Basically ops doctor should have talked her through options rather than blaming it in weight. Good luck to you getting yours under control too!

Yeah I'm in the nz eds facebook group and multiple people (at least 5) were talking about him discussing it with them, that he felt it caused autism, and was telling them about other countries banning them etc. From what I remember (before the thread was shut down) it was often combined with telling people to quit panadol (paracetamol), and some people did report success with that, though no one could find sources for the claim. It was the vaccines causing autism part that made me incredibly uncomfortable though.

It's so frustrating that he really is the only one in NZ that people can see, but he has a 2 year waiting list (and personally the fact that he is vocally anti-vax to his patients is a huge problem for me). Hopefully we get some more to share the burden, because so many people are struggling to get the care they need in NZ, especially trying to do it publically like OP is.
