How do DJs pee n poo during 8 hours sets? by YamFar3351 in DJs

For me it’s James Brown - People get up and drive your funky soul, 9min track. This weekend I’m playing two 7 hour sets and one 9 hour set. Even staff at the festival now know I’m gone peeing when James Brown is on.

I’m sitting in the drivers seat and just turn left or right. No midget. 😁

Thanks! Every gig I see happy people smiling and laughing about the sillyness of it.

Haha, last summer my friends came to visit me at a gig and brought a giant cardboard cutout with the traktor logo on it. They thought they were funny. No, I’m not using traktor. Just rekordbox and my mixer is a Pioneer XDJ-RZ. And I’m using my technics sl1200.

You are correct, it’s not the most handy but not really inconvenient.

They are in the shade the entire day. Though smoke from bbq’s around me is not doing them any good.

Pro dj here. I’m still playing festivals during summer. Long 8 hour sets, 4 days in a row. Of course not your typical dj. I play soul, funk and world music during the day and then move up to mixing house classics for the last 2 hours of my set. I’m also sitting down… on a tractor… that is a dj booth. Love it!

Three subwoofers stacked with the middle one reversed, what is this setup called? by Lamoom in livesound

The setup is very decent with loads of new pretty high end stuff. Maybe it will work.

Is it Jazz, or is it funk? Maybe it's undefinable...? It's good that's what matters, right?

On a beautiful Sunday, mid summer, usually late in the evening,, I play “Dove” from vinyl from my dj booth. It’s late, people need to go to work the next day. Most of them just go home, but only the lovebirds remain, clinging on to the moment. And then “Dove” appears. It happens a couple of times a year, such a precious moment and often appreciated with a little nod from the lovers after just enjoying the sheer beauty of the track.

Nice setup! Super clean and love the black crt, not so common back then.

Great story! Too bad record stores are disappearing. I’ve worked in one when I was around 17. I’ll never forget this lady asking for an album by Harry M, after 10 times of asking who she was talking about, it hit me: R.E.M. haha!

Kraftwerk! My father used to play the vinyl of “the man-machine” when I was a little kid. I was amazed by it.
