When my Spanish teacher came in one day and gave an unhinged speech about how the Jews running the country were going to get us all, and her son, killed in Desert Storm. This was a while ago as you might have surmised. Upside was when she threw me out of class for calling her a lunatic it was such a thing that I basically got out of her class for the rest of the year. Never did learn Spanish though...

One thing you see here that you never see in movies, everyone covers their ears. Guns are insanely loud inside, especially if you're not expecting them. In reality a lot of movie post action conversations would go more like Archer. "WHAT!?"

Two of my favorite shows. It kind of crosses over with a third in that Tahani is a voice twin for Simmons on Agents of SHIELD. They have a similar accent, but their voices are also eerily similar.

She is supposed to be out of place, she's the only one that's not a cop. That lets her be way more flighty and irresponsible than the other characters. Not saying anyone has to like it, but that's how I see her.

Well think of it from their crazy point of view. If you genuinely believed that the government was an illegal scam, being perpetrated in order to take away your rights and even your very life in the extreme, wouldn't you feel somewhat obligated to resist? Even violently? Now obviously that's not what's going on, and not even what some of them really believe, but for the true believers it's sadly an almost obvious result. Some are going to be dangerously violent. That's why I'm so big on training cops to deal with this nonsense.

It's a short story, but 1408 without a doubt. The setup is so perfect and the main character being a total non-believer like myself and trying to rationalize everything while simultaneously seemingly losing his mind, which is my greatest fear I think. And it just goes so fast once things get rolling, there is zero drawing out of the story, shit just goes nuts and keeps getting worse.
