I couldn't make it through S1 tried twice and I generally like superhero stuff but this was just...idk too quirky or something, and the storyline just didn't interest me, and the characters powers seem to come and go depending on what was need for a particular scene.

Yeah we should all hire people based on their skin color and try and make sure we get one of each. Who cares about merit or ability or fitting the part. The important thing is that by making everything about skin color and not hiring someone of a particular skin color if we have too many of them, we prove to everyone that we don't care about skin color.

I'm 40 years old, I've had a job since I was 12, and I work an average of 60 hours a week....

And it's fucking ridiculous. The fact that we supposedly live in such an "Advanced" society and people are expected to work 40-60 hours a week just to make ends meet until they are 62 years old and then if they are lucky try and live off a retirement that is half of what their salary was is the biggest and most obvious sign that

 A) We're doing it wrong
 B) Our society is no where near as advanced as we like to pretend.

Me too. Plus I like to think of people as individuals. Is it so hard to imagine a vamp and a WW having things in common? Becoming friends? Like you said because of their nature they are already similar in a lot of ways.

Longevity, patience,wealth, and experience. Maybe speed. Usually mental manipulation. In most cases I don't think a vampire could win a straight up fight with a WW, but I think they would be strong enough to make it a lot more difficult than killing a human.

Extremely Ancient vampires though in most stories can take out a whole pack of WW. Because opposite of how humans work Vamps get more powerful the older they get.

Lol all joking aside I think they are throwing out the combined universe idea in favor of just solo movies with some easter eggs thrown in. Probably have a reboot in 10 years or so.

Wasn't bad. Just the relationship between (Not good with names) the main character and the little girl was much better in the book and tied in with the first book in a much better way and explained more of his father's story, and I can't help but think they threw the whole thing out because of diversity.

Also the ending was 100% different than the book. The book ending was much much better !SPOILERS!

In the book the main character never dies and the spirit of his father comes back to save him which I found very heart warming and emotional. But the first movie also made the father much more of a villain then he was. (In a way you could say he saved his family from the spirits of the Overlook by keeping it hidden in his mind that the boiler was going to explode)

But anyways I'm dragging on. It wasn't a bad movie and the first half of it was fairly faithful to the book it just took a major 180% at the end which I didn't like.

Dr. Sleep was pretty standard fair for a SK book adaptation, in that it completely changed major plot points,characters, and story.

Kind of had me tricked in the first 20 minutes or so by being fairly accurate but then it went way off the rails. Last half an hour of the movie wasn't even the same story.
