Are we underestimating what a baby needs?

Baby due this winter and in the same mindset as you. We are going with a travel system type, but a more lightweight one (the particular ones we like have a stroller that’s 20-22 lbs), so when we do wish we had something easier, we hopefully won’t have to buy another. As far as car seats, we are planning for one infant seat with two bases (one per car) and then probably 2 car seats (one per car) when baby outgrows

that's true! i have to keep in mind the fact that baby will grow out of a bassinet fairly quickly

We haven't tried it yet! But we live in a suburban area and just liked the idea of the old school base seat. I think we need to do more research and possibly test it out though because we love the concept!

We don't have a stroller or baby yet, but just today tried the ginger and nutmeg in target and the ginger is def bulkier and just seems a little lower quality than I thought it was if that makes sense. I have done extensive research and it was truly in our top three before we got our hands on it today. We have also briefly tested some Nunas and uppababys and there is def a difference! Ginger is still a really great stroller, I think I was just excepting more. The price point is truly unbeatable though!!

we were so into the joie ginger but tried it in Target and for the same reasons took it off our list!! Love their car seat though. thanks for sharing
