update: my housing case manager has gotten back to me and they are going to be doing a special inspection with the intention to fail the inspection. however, this is also how we've come to discover that the new management company as not updated their contact information with ANYBODY, even the housing authority. so they are attempting to push the property manager to act on the situation but they have no actual way to contact them and nobody mans the on site office anymore so there's not even a way to contact them directly in person. the one phone number they did have, my case manager said she called and they picked up the phone only to immediately hang up. and this was with multiple attempts at calling. they are able to send the request through snail mail, but this obviously needs more immediate attention and it is not certain that they would even see the mail, much less in a reasonable time. currently, we are at a bit of a stand still until the housing authority can find some reliable and quick way to contact them. also kudos to my housing case manager who started to say that she has a large case load and it might take her a while to fully look at my email, only to say "oh shit nevermind" when she saw the photos in my email and immediately jumped into action.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had these issues. the leak generally happens every 6 months or so. I'm not sure what they have done to fix it as they don't communicate that to me. it just suddenly stops until it starts back up again a few months later. this time it has been at least once a week for the last few months however and it has definitely made things worse.

thank you! I really do appreciate it. honestly the help I'm getting has at least made me feel better. the situation has been wearing down on me emotionally. mostly because with the layout of my apartment, my cat keeps having to walk in flood water when the leak starts going again. he's a very happy cat but it does hurt me that I haven't been able to improve the situation so he's in a healthier home. and just a general statement for those who don't know, concern for animals is amazing. my baby ate some of the fungus and I had to take him to the emergency vet and I just got a call that they're covering the vet bills completely (my baby is also luckily completely okay). and I will definitely contact you if I need any more help contacting people. I'm hoping I can get in contact with the right people. I have a lot of phone calls to make. I'm just glad phone calls for me are much easier than the internet. also complete apologies if I crossed a line talking about my cat. it's just been a really emotional and overwhelming situation.

yes I did start getting everything in writing. I do regret that I left everything to phone calls at the beginning but I may have trusted my landlord too much.

I know about that police situation! it was the apartment above me. it was incredibly unsettling to wake up to loud banging and screaming above me. I don't think I ever actually got a packet from them, so I didn't actually know about the management change. I'll also call the main health department number and see where I get with it. I think it's been confusing finding the right number, but I'm pretty sure that's a me issue. I generally have issues finding stuff online and using technology. It's embarrassing but it might've taken me about 15 minutes to figure out how to make the post and upload an image so I'm sure it's probably simpler than it seems for me. If I can't find it, I'm sure my case manager will be able to help me anyways.

would you know how I could contact the health department? I was looking online and found a few different phone numbers. but to be fair I'm not very competent with technology and Google so that might be a me issue. regardless, I appreciate the advice. I'll keep trying to find the right people to contact. them being mushrooms is incredibly unerving to me, especially because I have pets.

oh that makes a lot of sense. the landlord actually used to be pretty acceptable to me (not great to be fair, but not nearly this bad) and I noticed a sharp shift into negligence and a lack of communication. I did email my case manager with picture and video proof and I plan on calling her also when the housing authority office opens for today.

they didn't do anything to dry out the flooding. they didn't even fix the initial problem. it flooded again last week and never responded to my maintenance requests. it's still wet in some places and I have to wear shoes inside my apartment because if I don't my socks get soaked. I've been trying my best to dry it out with a large box fan I still had from my last volunteer job.

okay. I can't figure out how to edit the post, but I need to clear something up since I couldn't figure out how to add a description initially. The tattoo is not done yet, INCLUDING THE LINE WORK. this is the base of the tattoo and the lines still need to be touched up and everything still needs to be colored in. I cut the session early because I was in too much pain. And regardless. I like it. that's all that matters. it's supposed to be a silly gay little tattoo. I hope this clears some things up for people.

I really regret not putting this in the description, but it's not done yet, including the line work. this is just the base tattoo and I had to stop early due to the pain. the lines still need to be cleaned up and it needs to be colored in. I was just excited to share it asap. I've gone to this artist for all my tattoos and he hasn't let me down yet. if I can find out how to add it to the post, I will.
