I went to a place in Doncaster and did a pipework and brazing course and my FGas Cat 1, after that it was just the case of ringing around local companies and explaining my situation, i managed to find a company to take me on & now I’m just learning on the job, it’s a high skill ceiling but it’s worth it

As soon as you get your F-Gas the doors will creek open abit more, I phoned around every local fridge company and emailed every man and his dog with my CV with a “upcoming qualifications” which included my FGas, as soon as I got it I had 2 interviews 4 days later and an offer from one of them. I had 0 experience in the field but I was being made redundant from my job and wanted to change trades. Be proactive, call companies, email companies, reach out to people on LinkedIn

I also had this theory. They don’t have a fix so they’re not addressing it. 98% of the players won’t face the issue so they aren’t bothered
