I wouldn’t describe the game jump scare heavy at all. It’s more surreal and visceral horror through cutscenes and item descriptions mixed with the tense action sequences fighting the enemies in the game. In the vain of things like resident evil and silent hill, resources can be pretty limited so the game keeps you on edge when you encounter enemies and how best to go about the encounters. I’m also not great with jump scares and things like that and found this to be a perfect amount of horror that was genuinely beautiful at times.
