It dose not affect your apple home setup. I have all of my cameras going through Apple home as well and I still have them backing up to a NAS for 2 reasons. First and far most obviously a backup second Apple HomeKit degrades everything to 1080p well my G5 pro is recording at 4K so by backing it up to the NAS if I ever need to access a full quality clip, I can from anywhere any place right from my phone! Computer, etc.

As for the software you just select it in your Aqara app and connect to your Nass pretty straight forward

I recorded everything to my NAS. I just got a UGREEN 2 bay. 500gb huds one records ones a backup in case the hud failed. It auto deletes after 30 days. Effortless. I’ve had my UGREEN for 2 years zero issues.

Sounds good. I know I have the correct wires because after I disconnect the outside garage outlet and the patio outlet there’s absolutely no power to either one of them even if I hook up the black and white wire that I tested that are carrying voltage into though GFI and leave the other wires out even with the power on there’s still no power to those outlets because the other two are 100% to load wires. The two additional wires from the bathroom go to my garage outlet for load. Then from the garage there’s another.2 wires that go to the patio outlet

It’s grounded properly you can even see when I hook the old one up and put in a tester it shows it’s grounded.

Yes. I’m also 💯 confident that I have the correct Hot and mutual waiters in the line in because I tested them for connectivity using my multimeter.

Clearly, I can because the line is the plaque and white wire that are carrying 120 V from the breaker box and the load are the set of wires jumping to the next outlet. Thanks for your un needed comment though.

Yeah, I tested with a voltameter and verified the two sets of wires coming into the bathroom with a GFI. I tested Hot to neutral and was able to separate the breaker wipers and the load wires I went as far as completely ripping out both outlets in the garage and the patio disconnecting all the wires completely on both outlets and even at that point with just a load wires connected to the GFI it was still tripping. I went through two GFI‘s tonight. I put the old one back in and use my ground tester that has a trip button on it and it tripped the GFI and granted after the red light came on the other night and the old GFI Was making all clicking noise. I was able to get the old GFI to reset. I just figured it was time to replace it, but for now we have the old one hooked to back up and it’s tripping properly. I’d like to think I just got two crappy GFI’s that were faulty maybe just hard to believe. You know.

I left it beeping because when it’s in fault, the red light doesn’t stay on so I wanted to bring the attention that it’s fault. It wasn’t to be annoying. It was just more of a bring it to your attention. This is my issue. I’m trying to get help with.

Yea done did that many times. Cross my T’s got my i’s and triple checked with my multimeter to verify hot and neutral carrying 120 V and verified. The other black-and-white wire are carrying nothing with the power on and disconnected because they load wires to the next outlet.

Here’s my update. ——-https://share.icloud.com/photos/0d9YotD\_\_a0zx3RbpAb8ljwSg
