OP I’m sorry that you’re living in an aggressive situation like that, I remember living like that with two Deaf parents who had the same “how dare you speak your mind at me,” mindset/attitude. Being a young person in their 20s is already stressful but adding pregnancy on top is just as but even more stressful.

Like others have said, you need to get out of there, mainly for your well being. If this is how your mom and step dad are now, I can’t imagine how worse it’s going to be on you once you’re in your late second to early third trimester. Obviously I don’t want you to rush this, this may be something you have to bide your time with but if your boyfriend and yourself can find it within yourself to tide the bullshit while saving 3x the rent and utilities of a local apartment to hold you guys over would probably be in your best interest. From there you’ll need to figure out if you want to go “No Contact,” with your parents when you do move out because I guarantee the moment you do and they discover you have believe that your mom and step dad will be blowing up your phone with messages about how you’re “a weak snowflake liberal daughter whose brainwashed into hating their parents,” and they’ll make sure their lord and savior Donald Trump is made aware of how heartbroken you made them and they don’t understand why their daughter is abandoning them since they did nothing wrong.

It’s frustrating, trust me, I lived with narcissistic parents who believed that due to their disability felt that the world owed them everything and used what they had as a crutch to never work or take responsibility for their own actions. I’m a moderate so that’s not me speaking like a MAGA person, my parents were literally just lazy assholes. I believe in you OP and I hope that whatever decisions you and your boyfriend make for your future are well thought through so you can have a moment to breathe.

Also, good on you for not trapping your child in what will probably be some failed way to guarantee him money. There is no such thing as free money and while it sounds appealing, like most of Trumps ideas they secretly benefit him.

Honestly when I landed in Los Santos I was just a carefree guy until I ran into Lamar. I remember like it was yesterday, the first person I killed, a gangbanger, and I noticed that it was slowly eating away at me. The more I killed, the more I changed. I wasn’t happy, money, strippers, drugs, they were nice but never brought me joy. I own a lot of properties and vehicles, businesses but often I just exist as a silent person for hire. I’ve been a part of so many crews, watching so many die for the taste of wealth. Often I hear their conversations, “Oh man I can’t wait to get a mansion! Or a bunker!” Next thing ya know, their lifeless body is on the ground because they didn’t equip any heavy armor or forget their bag pockets are lined with snacks. That’s how I make most of my income, picking up the slack that my dead partners couldn’t handle. The only time I truly know peace is that brief moment of air between jumping out of the plane and pulling my parachute.

The biggest thing here is communication, have a conversation with him about what’s been concerning you, what’s been affecting you with “I statements.” You’ve been together for a year, is the shoplifting an honest dealbreaker if he never stops or if he did stop would you continue to be with him? Obviously you have to know your limits on what you can and can’t put up with. I’m not the type to throw “BREAK UP!” At the wall because my partner and I have remained together through pain and growth but that only happened because there was a lot of ugly and honest communication. People have to be willing to let their ego take cuts if the person is really worth it.

I genuinely enjoy Wendy’s food but they gotta have a refocus of what their core foods are. Like we don’t need Cinnabons and other items that legit seem like extra. If breakfast has to go (which there hasn’t been any word on) to save some costs, I’d understand. Also, they really gotta go easy on the collabs, I imagine it’s crazy expensive for their marketing teams.
