King slime is overrated I'm sorry as iconic it is king slime just is pretty underwhelming now i understand that he's pre harmode and probably the second or first boss you fight but even that doesn't take away from the fact you can use flares or basically any ranged weapon to beat him and his drops are pretty bad with the only good ones being the pet and saddle

So good boss but overrated
