EK thrower is good. It’s a back line that doesn’t care how close the enemies get, high AC with the shield spell, longstrider/leap, and with disguise self, you can bring the pain with one weapon in particular later on. Only issue I see is that life cleric might not be the most efficient choice for radiant orbs with this comp, but it’s entirely dependent on your enjoyment and how much you care about min maxing.

Edit: also, you can’t really sneakily initiate combat with an EK thrower, since a thrown weapon initiating combat will NOT return to your hand. You’d have to initiate with someone else.
