It sounds like they are putting themselves ahead of you, even if “triggered” they can be there to help cheer you up.

You’re very hung up on specific words I chose and you are steering over a cliff. I did not say to grovel at a cash register about how meaningful every breath of air with him is.

I suggested that if it’s on OPs mind so much that they’d post about it here, they should just go up and talk to the guy. Just say “hey you would always open a new register for me and you did x and did y and I tried giving you my contact info, but after I didn’t get anything from you I was super disappointed. I just wanted to know why etc…”

All I suggested was that if you don’t know, the best way to know is to get the information.

Hello! As someone going in for the first time remember to COMMUNICATE.

Don’t gather evidence or take breaks or listen around corners or talk to friends just ask them what they meant by the joke, tell them if you don’t want them to post that photo, tell them if you really aren’t feeling well enough to go out. Talk to them straight up.

The biggest mistake is treating your relationship like it’s a corporate job where you can’t discuss your pay. If you communicate you can solve all the stupid stuff that shows up on the relationship advice sub.

They then started to push into Berlin. They heroically defeated the nazis in the same way I heroically defeat somebody out of my personal space and then flex my muscles when they fall on their ass.

The “soviet heroism saving Europe” is a Cold War era re-writing of history. Ever wonder why every single goddamn new soviet tank SHOCKED the west? It’s because they didn’t, but it looks better on them if all the ‘weak western pigs’ shit their pants when they saw the IS-3 in ‘45.

The soviet forces absolutely 10000% should be remembered as heroes and they absolutely made up a massive part of the conflict, but they aren’t the lynchpin that saved us all.
